The boys will be turning 3 in a couple of days. Ya, sure, they sometimes drive me crazy and the not listening thing makes me nuts but when they are cute, oy, are they cute!!!

    - This morning we tied 2 balloons to our backs and became butterflies.
    - Elias made a train out of chairs so he could drive to his birthday and get to it quicker.
    - Ezra found a key and it became a key to his and Elias' office wherein one could find toys and 2 monsters - one for each of them.
    - Elias was using a music shaker as a megaphone yelling "back up. get away from the cars". No idea where he got that from.

They get so excited by things now and have great imaginations and they understand things and are curious about things. This morning, I explained about a syringe (they were drawing up water with a needleless syringe and squirting water into their mouths with it) and how it creates a vacuum and sucks things up like our vacuum cleaner does and they really got it and were really interested.

And they make funny voices and walk in funny ways and just experiment with their bodies and have GREAT comedic timing. And they are only freaking three years old. How can they be so smart and get so much and understand things/people so well at three years old?

Granted, I've got that birthday coming up soppiness thing happening but I've just been overwhelmed with love for them lately.

    Just wanted to share.

Yes, the not listening and "no's" are infuriating BUT their blossoming imaginations are so much fun. Plus the things they say, especially their interactions with each other are so CUTE  The other day Dani said "I'm going to be three!" and Julia replied "That's right sister!"

Isn't this a great age? I, too, am loving it. (frustrated 10% of the time by the stubborn behaviour, but loving the other 90).

I am enjoying it too, for the most part! The other night they turned the deck into a "kitchen" and were pretending to "bake dog food" (the planter box was the oven) with their sand/water table. They made little plates for all the different dogs they know and set them up around the deck. I as able to do some weeding and other yard work. I LOVE that they can play together so nicely!

And of course no diaper changing is awesome!
