I have been having the worst cases of heartburn and acid reflux! I never have really experienced acid reflux/heartburn before--there was once or twice when I was pregnant with the girls but that's been it. Now I can barely survive the day. I take a Zantac before I go to bed and it barely works for me. I take one again mid morning and by evening I am dying. But I don't want to take one then because then I wouldn't have any relief during the night.

This pregnancy is kicking my butt a lot more than my previous pregnancies. I hope this means that I will get to have a "normal" birthing experience and finally get to take a baby home with me when I leave the hospital. I was thinking the other day how miserable I am this time around (probably because I have 3 little ones to chase after this time) and it made me realize that I still didn't know I was having twins at this point of my pregnancy. (I didn't find out for sure until I was 27 weeks 2 days when I went and had my 1st u/s done on my own.) Which tells me I have a long ways to go still and I'm just going to get more miserable as the days go on....

The only thing I need to purchase for this baby is a bassinet and I need to get a monitor for the girls' new room (once it's completed). But yet I feel more stressed out about how soon the baby will be here than I have been for the other kids when I was even less ready for them to be born. I keep going through in my head every little thing that needs to be done and it just doesn't feel like there is enough time.

    I'm rambling I know, it's what I do best...sorry. ;)

I hate to break it to you, but the "lots of heartburn=lots of hair" myth is not necessarily true! I had TERRIBLE heartburn with both the twins and Grant and none of them had more than a little peach fuzz on thier heads. Both times I basically survived on TUMS (you cannot take Rolaids...dunno why but they are not safe when preggo). I could look at water and get heartburn. I got to a point where I craved Pizza and and Mexican food, but refused to eat it b/c I knew I would hurt too bad later. :hug99:

Oh my, I'm SO sorry to hear about the heartburn/reflux. I suffered SO bad with it this pregnancy. I think the baby has finally moved a little lower b/c it hasnt' been as bad recently, but I was living off of Zantac and Tums and it was barely touching it to. I Hope you find some kind of solution. It's NO fun!

I'm having lots of heartburn this time around but nowhere near as much as I had with the girls. I must tell you both my girl had lots of long hair when born so in our case the myth was true!
Sorry you're having such a hard time. My dr won't give me anything this time either- she thinks Zantac causes contractions so it's off limits for me.

Try adding Mylanta to your Zantac regiment. That's what I had to do with the girls and it helped a lot. So far with this pregnancy, the Zantac is doing a good enough job, but I'm sure further along, I will be using both. Good luck. At least once the baby is born, you won't have it anymore.

:hug99: I am sorry Ronda. I know how uncomfortable HB is when pregnant! I am had it really bad with my twins. This pregancy hasnt been anything like I expected it to be. I thought that if I got pregnant with only one this would be easy. So not the case! I feel for you!! I hope you find some relief for you HB soon. :hug99:
