When you hit the third trimester, do your doctor visits increase? Right now I'm seeing my regular OB every two weeks and the MFM specialist about every three weeks...once I hit my third trimester, should I expect that to increase in frequency?! Thanks for all the help ladies!

I saw my ob every 2 weeks until 32 weeks and that is when my weekly NSTs and BPPs started. I saw my peri dr every 3 weeks, until 33 weeks and then he actually released me b/c everything was looking great and I was far enough along to deliver-plus I had 2 steroid shots at 32 weeks. I am still hanging in at 35 weeks...
    Good luck-

I saw my OB every every week starting at 28 weeks. Then I started weekly NST's at 32 weeks and then 34 weeks NST's twice a week.

    Good Luck!

I'm 22wks 6 days and had an OB appt today. I am going every 2 weeks now. The OB didn't mention when the appts would be more frequent. He only mentioned that I will have another u/s in 4 weeks and then will continue to have them every other week after that.

Started weekly appointments at 33 weeks with my peri -- before that it was about every 3-4 weeks. Ultrasounds have been every 3-4 weeks, too. Will start weekly NST's this Friday (36 weeks).

I guess it depends on the doctor. I hit 28 weeks last friday and I now see the peri every two weeks for NST's (I have them twice a week) and the peri does an ultrasound every four weeks. Then I see my ob every two weeks. My appointments just happen to fall where I go to the dr's every week.

I think the amount you see your doctor just depends on your doctor and the level of risk they think you are. You already see a doctor more frequently than I do, I do not see a specialist and see my OB every 2 weeks.

Every person/pregnancy is different. OB's have different styles. My ob told me that he'd be seeing me more often than a singleton birth but I don't believe him! I went monthly to see him until about 32 weeks. Then went every two weeks for a month (2 visits) and then weekly the last two weeks. My pregnancy had no complications though. Sounds like you'll be going weekly before too long. :hug99:

I saw my midwife once a month from the beginning. Then once I hit 30 weeks, she sees my now every 2 weeks. I saw a specialist a month ago and have another appointment this Friday. I think with them its just once a month as there are no issues that need monitoring, just a monthly check for growth.
I am not sure at what point my midwife and OB will want to see me weekly. My next appointment with her is next Wed, so I am going to ask her that question because I've been wondering about it too.

I have an OB appt next week, then an ultrasound for growth with my peri the week after. After that (at 32 weeks) I start having weekly OB visits to meet with my doctor and have NSTs and weekly peri visits where I will have BPPs. So after 32 weeks, I'll have 2 appt's per week.
