Things are looking up....

Well, we have exciting news, both for me and for our family!! It was all following a HUGE meltdown....

Mama's got a new car!!!

Or at least I will have one on Monday!! I finally broke down (figuratively and literally!!) <_< Been wanting a new car forever!! I drove a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee, that was Jays moms old car, for the last 1 1/2 years and it finally has had enough!! The tirods went, brakes are going, my drivers door never closes (have to lock and SLAM it!) and its stupid, ugly, and full of rust!! Oh and it sounds like a harley...lol So I finally broke down with it, called Jay in tears, we got into a HUGE fight because I hate where we live, I'm nervous about a layoff at work, and I hate my car! So after I apologized and he apologized, we decided to go for a walk as a family to clear our heads. On our walk, the woman I used to babysit for has her '04 Pontiac Montana for sale. And although I have never wanted a minivan, I loved it!!!vvAnd I'm buying it!! And thrilled about it, becasue I got a great deal and next week will be able to pay cash for it!! (getting life insurance from my father who passed in December) Then, we saw a house that we were going to buy last winter, but since the loss of my father had decided to hold off. It still hasn't sold and is now for rent!! We called and will be moving in 2 weeks!! (I'm overwhelmed but ready as another house to rent fell through last week) The last big thing that Finally worked out for me, was that I had a meeting with 2 of my bosses at work and I will NOT be getting layed off.... at least not until November and then can expect a call back in April!! So I get time with the boys!!

I have been worrying myself sick about these things, literally to the point of throwing up on several occasions. I am so thrilled that things are working out for us, I don't know, maybe its fate!! I keep telling Jay we need to fight more often.

I've just got this feeling now that the storm cloud is not following me around anymore.... I pity whoever it lands on next becasue I have been stressed to the max..... Even better... I got a babysitter for Saturday night and I'm going to a local bar that is raffling a 4 day cruise.... The way my luck has been going, I think I may even have a chance.... B) B)

Wow, thats great Shannon. Thanks for sharing the great news with all of us!! You totally deserve a "new" car, even if it is a mini-van I never wanted one either and now I dont know what I would do without it!
