This week I finally feel like I can be in this forum 'for reals' because my boys hit their 1 year adjusted birthday. I know some people don't go by adjusted age but I've found that it really is more accurate for my two. Six weeks ago I posted a topic called 'I thought it would be better by now' or something like that, and got many supportive responses so I thought I might update folks on how we're doing. And we are doing better! I finally was able to convince DH to do full CIO and it took a good two weeks but now they sleep through the night! :clapping: We've shifted their schedule (DST helped) and they now get up at 6am - much better than 4:30! I'm now down to nursing 4 times a day, and just one boy. The other stopped nursing when he had a serious mouth injury and hasn't gone back. :( Not how I wanted to wean but I'm trying to accept it! Their naps are on a schedule mostly and I leave them in their crib for at least an hour so no more short naps! I do nurse the one boy down to naps and before bed but he'll go down to his nap for the babysitter without nursing. They're less clingy now, with being able to play together without me for a good time period. I'm still tired though doing much better. I've added a 'snack' so now it's four meals a day which pretty much takes up all the day to prep, feed, and clean up and we need to get out of the house more. What a difference 6 weeks plus CIO makes!

That's great. :clapping: I really do feel you on the sleeping thing..mine didn't STTN until 13 months, and even after that they woke up about 3-4 nights a week until 18 months. (And they were full term LOL!) The sleep deprivation is tough on everyone.
