Thin skin? Veins showing when feverish?

Jack has always had what I can only describe as visibly looking thin skin. In other words, he is really veiny. When he gets feverish (like now, 102.9) his legs get these really defined spider looking purple veins. I do not know if his skin gets paler or his veins get darker but it looks really funky and always kind of makes me nervous. Does anyone know what this is?

Royce and I have the same thing. It's just when you get sick, your body gets hotter and the blood moves faster (like when you get flushed from being overheated). Make sure that boy doesn't get sunburned!! It's a common thing with very fair skin.

Poor little guy . It probably is from being sick. I hope he's better soon! Don't hesitate to call the dr. if it looks worse.

Sorry I don't have any experience with that but if you are concerned it never hurts to call the pedi's office and speak to the nurse.

    Is Jack very fair?
I have very, very fair skin. The kind that it is not possible to tan and 15 minutes in the sun causes a burn. You can ALWAYS see my veins and it gets more noticeable as I get hot or from exhertion.

    THANKS GIRLS!!!

It is so weird though, neither DH nor I nor anyone in our immediate families has fair skin. Jack does seem to tan in the summer and not burn and I have never considered him fair. Interesting. Thanks for the feedback!
