    Hi all!
So they took their first steps a couple days before X-mas and have been slowly taking more and more on their own! I can't believe how much they keep doing everyday! I do have a question about when they are walking though. I have noticed that Alex kinda walks w/his toes pointing in, and was wondering if that eventually starts to straighten out. I have read somewhere that when they start walking their legs get less bow-legged, but wasn't sure about thier toes pointing in a little. How has it worked out for everyone else?

    Thanks.

Normal! My first son did the same thing. I remember asking the ped. about it, and he said that is totally normal. Most kids do. Have fun chasing them!

Normal! My nephew was funny when he started walking - his legs bow legged and his toes pointing in - he looked like a monkey when he walked! bless his heart. Now he's running. no pointed in toes or bow legged. My girls are on the run too! They started about 10 mos. too - Now they don't crawl at all. I have two little bum bums running around.

My son walked with his feet pointing out in the beginning. The ped said many times they do that for balance. Maybe the same thing goes for pointing in.

Mine are 26 months and still a bit pigeon-toed (i.e. pointing in), but the ped isn't worried. It has gotten better since they first started walking. However, DH's father, brother, and sister are all pigeon-toed (just a little), even though DH isn't, so possibly it's genetic and our kids will always be that way.

Ours didn't have this issue, but have heard it is rather common and usually works itself out by the end of the toddler stage.

Congrats on your early walkers...you're in for a lot of exercise!

What a grea accomplishment! :clapping: Have fun chasing him. If you are worried about how they are walking, ask their ped at their one year appointment what his thoughts are.
