At least that's what it feels like... and not through the appropriate exit, either!

These babies will not.stop.moving. They kept me up all last night - one would go wild, then quiet down in time for the other one to start up. And today they just keep pushing out, like they are stretching my uterus trying to make more room. Every time I stand up they both push outwards, it feels like BH contractions but I think it's just them moving so much!

It's starting to make me crazy! Will it be like this for the rest of the pregnancy?! I'm only 28 weeks and my cervix has been rock-solid so far... how am I going to last another 3 months with all this activity?!

I am almost 31 wks and I can honestly say that they have "toned it downa bit". At about 28 wks I suppose is when they were really crazy... my DH could feel them moving in bed! They would also stretch their little legs out right up under my ribs and that was the worst... but I dont feel that somuch now. My baby A has also flipped Head up so they are yin yang now that might have contributed to why there is less strain now. But you are not alone.. I hope it gets better.

The babies moving around is one of the fun things that comes and goes, somedays it will be bad and uncomfortable and then the next you will be worried you haven't felt them enough.

I have the same thing going on. They are going crazy, and whats worse is they have both moved to head down and all 4 feet are up in my breast bone, when they get to wiggling and stuff it feels like they are trying to pop out like an alien lol. My hubby says that he felt them all night everytime he cuddle up to me or put his hand on my belly. Alli know is they get me up at 4am every morning like clockwork- think thats how its gonna be when they get here?

I couldn't have said it better myself. It comes and goes but the further along you are and as the babies get heavier it becomes really painful especially when you get kicked in the bladder and the cervix A LOT!

Sorry, I can't give you much encouragement since this is something we twin moms have to really live with. But I feel your pain!

I thought that the feeling I was having was the babies stretching and their heads poking out more, but my OB said that it was contractions. My abdomen felt hard but it also felt like one was stretching, strange. Anyway, I told him it usually happens alot more at nighttime and I can't sleep due to it. He was concerned and ordered a fibronectin swab and an extra u/s. I had no clue but now I know and I'm suppose to count them. Anyway, just wanted to tell you'll about this in case there are other first timers that this may help. I think as the babies grow the kicks become alot stronger from what I've noticed. These 4 pounders are pretty strong. Just another thing to look forward to.

mine were that way and they did tone it down around 30 -31
weeks - they did flip around after that which was really strange
but it was not like before when they kept me up!!
    then I couldn't sleep because I couldn't breathe! now I can't sleep
because they are hungry! so I am not sure when the sleep part gets better - but I can tell you that it won't be easy to make it until delivery but you will and it will be SO worth it!!

Hopefully like the pp said they will tone down a bit since they're getting bigger and there is less and less room. with the boys, mine did though they still did flip around. I had major braxton hicks and at 35.6 i asked the dr. how strong he wanted my contractions to get before i came in. Nice dr. He told me they were close enought together (every three minutes) but not strong enough so.... Keep them kids in their. Wait until you get closer to the upper 30's and it feels like you gotta hold them in when you walk b/c they feel like they'll fall out...(the right place LOL). Good Luck!

Just one more of the joys of twin pregnancy!

I started at two day Childbirth Express class this evening and the instructor said somethng about teaching us tomorrow to 'put our babies to sleep' so we could get some sleep at night.....my sense is that it partly has to do w/what we eat, since they are very responsive to sugar, so she noted that while a cup of hot cocoa before bed is relaxing for US, it wakes them right up. I'll be back w/more info after tomorrow!
