I had a boy and a girl! (I didn't know). On 11/29 Taylor Nicole and Aidan Joseph were born at 38 weeks 5 days. I went into labor (thought it might never happen) and gave birth to Taylor naturally and without medication! She was 5 pounds 9 ounces. Unfortunately, Aidan decided to "swim away" and turned breech and went up under my ribs. The Dr. couldn't turn him manually (ouch-- again no epi) and they were worried because they couldn't montior him since he was moving around so much. So, I ended up having an emergency C-section. Aidan was born 40 minutes later and was 7 pounds 4 ounces. They are both healthy and absolutely beautiful!
They are both nursing very well and gaining weight easily (you can make enough milk). I can't think of anything else- but if you have any questions let me know!! It's absolutely amazing and very worth whatever discomfort you are experiencing. Good luck to everyone. See you on the other side!

Congratulations! [IMG] I'm sorry that you had to go through the c-section but it's great that you were able to deliver Taylor naturally. That's wonderful that they are nursing well too. Congrats again!

Congratulations! You seem very blase about the whole "full birth experience" thing - I'd be whining away! I can just see your little boy getting all excited about having the apartment all to himself and deciding he didn't want to come out just then, LOL!
Happy birthday to your babies - can't wait to see some cute pics when you get a chance [IMG]

Congratulations!!! I am so happy that your little family is doing so well! Wonderful birth weights and be proud at how well nursing is going! It does stink that you had to end up with a c/s, but a healthy and beautiful baby is all that matters in the end, right? [IMG]

i can't believe how long you made it -- amazing. sorry about the total birth experience, but i imagine it would have been tough to deliver your boy after his smaller sister.

    can't wait for pix [IMG]

Congratulations and welcome Taylor and Aidan! How exciting that you didn't know they were a boy and girl and 38wks 5 days is awesome. I did 38wks1day so I commend you for the other 4 days you went longer than I! Also you seem to be doing really well with the "full birth experience." Kudos to you! [IMG] to the FY Board!

    Congrats!!!!

My hospital required an epi in order to perform a breech extraction if necessary (and it was in my case for baby b) and to avoid a c-section.

Hope you'll heal quickly, having both a vaginal birth and a c-section doesn't sound like a lot of fun.

Thanks for all the messages! Answering the question about the name: Taylor is my maiden name and Nicole is the name of my best friend's daughter who passed away.
