I know I shouldn't worry; there have to be teeth in there somewhere, right?

But they aren't even showing signs of teething that I can tell. I keep waiting...nothing yet...

anyone else get this far with no teeth? They were born at 35 wks, btw...

Mine are 8 months today and my DS still doesn't have any teeth. He is definately showing the signs (has been for about a month) but the little teeth have not reared their little heads yet. DD has had her two bottom teeth for over a month now. I am sure it is nothing to be concerned about.

My girl had her first 2 teeth at 5 months (like my oldest) ... my boy got the first 2 at 8 months ... I know kids who didn't have any til 10 months. They'll come!

I think they say about 6-8 months for the first teeth is the "average"? You could think think of your girls as being 7 months old (because they were born a bit early) so they aren't late at all yet. My friend's daughter seriously did not get one tooth until she was 14 months old and then they all came in very quickly. My friend was concerned about her eating up until then, but she gummed things just fine. :)

I didn't know when Ainsley was going to get hers. Austin had 2 teeth by 8 1/2 months! Finally, two days before she was officially 9 months old, her tooth broke through the gums! I was so excited. I knew they were going to come but I just didn't know if they would! :D

Let's see. DD got her first one in March, so she was almost 9 months old. I thought she'd be gumming her food for life! Within the past week, she has gotten two more teeth which brings her grand total to 8. She's 15 months old. She's a super slow teether. I heard that the later they get teeth, the stronger the teeth are. I have no idea if that's a myth or not, though. :unknw:

I have heard the same myth about late teethers. I will have to ask the dentist when I go next month if that is true.

Carson still has no teeth and he is 9.5 months. They aren't even close to popping through. My older kids didn't get theirs unti l1 year of age. They will come, just be patient. I know...yeah right???

My girls will be 8 months tomorrow and still no teeth. DS didn't get his 1st until the day before he turned 10 months. I'm not worried. They bite hard enough with out teeth. :)

We are almost 8months old and there is not a glimmer of pearly whites in there. I am like pp and think they will be gumming food for life.
I have also heard like pp the later they get teeth the stronger the teeth are. Not sure if it is true or not.

We're late teethers in my family, and the kids have followed right along with that. No teeth at all until 2 weeks ago at 9 1/2 months--then Declan got four in a week, and Ro got 2 the same week. Be careful what you wish for--I don't think DH and I slept more than a few hours a night that whole week, and we went through a heck of a lot of Motrin and teething tablets!

Good luck, and don't worry...those teeth'll be out before you know it!

  13. My eldest didnt get teeth until 1 yr!!! It didnt even cross my mind (teething) this time around and yet they are both gettin then now at almost 6 mo.....kids are crazy!!

Grace got teeth early, especially for being a preemie. Lily still had no teeth at 8 months though.

Jack was around 9 months before he got his teeth and Sophies first teeth popped in a day before her 1st birthday! So i wouldnt worry about it too much they will pop up when you are least expecting it! x

Rachel didn't get her first tooth till 9.5 months old, but Bex got her first at 6 mos. This was late for my kids b/c dd1 got her first at 4 mos and ds got his at 5 mos. I knew she'd get them, but didn't expect it so late in the year. I have friends whose daughter didn't get her first tooth at 12 mos as well. Don't worry they'll come!

J&Z both broke their first tooth thru on the same day...3 days shy of 10 months. I was really starting to wonder if they would EVER come in. Zachary got 3 more right away and Joseph got another but just last week he got #s 3 and 4...be patient, not long after they get teeth they will discover how to bite and there's another whole issue.

My DD didn't get her first tooth until between 11-12 months and only had 4 teeth by 16 months. I wouldn't worry!!

no teeth here either, our pedi told us not to worry about it. He said usually 1 year old is normal time to start showing teeth. So we're not worried! :winking0009:

No teeth here, either! They turned 7 months on the 15th but like you, they were born at 35 weeks...so I think of them as 6 months...

Both have had slobber galore and both are definitely chewing anything they can get their mouth on (including each other!)

I don't think we should worry - I've heard of kids not getting a single tooth until after they are 1 year!

Mine didn't get any until past a year, now they have them all. Don't worry, it'll happen.

mine actually popped their first tooth right at 8.5 and 9 months. it will happen!! in the meantime, enjoy their gummy smiles and take lots of pics because believe it or not, once their teeth starting really coming in, i missed those adorable toothless smiles and often find myself looking back at those photos.
