They both get so excited to get a milk sippy, but after the first few ounces theystarted to let it run out of their mouths & down their chins. Natalie much more so, but Hannah does it to. At first, I thought it might be the type of sippy, but now I've tried a second sippy & a straw cup. They don't do this with water. Any suggestions?

It's a phase. We went through this with both milk and water. I gave them one warning and then I would take away the sippy cup. It's super annoying!

One of mine is starting to do this when I spoonfeed them. He slowly spits it out, lets it run down his chin, and then looks at me and laughs. He thinks it's funny. I read somewhere to stop feeding, wait a bit and try again. Don't know if it'll help with the sippy cups, but it might be worth a try. It's a pain to take food or milk away and try again later if you're on a schedule, so I'll be anxious to see if there are better tips out there.

annoying isn't it?? I take their cup away and tell them "no spit." They have gotten better and don't do it as often anymore.

Oh my gosh, Trevor does this on occasion and it drives me crazy. He had stopped doing it for awhile and then just started again the other day. I just take the cup away from him when he does it. I'm hoping he will grow out of it.

We do the same thing, if they start playing with their food, cups, spoons, forks, etc., we take them away. We only take them for maybe 20 to 30 seconds, enought time for a good complain, then give them back saying if they do it again they cannot have it. It works for the most part. Just keep at it...

No tricks....someone said it a phase. Its something new...even at that age its good to tell them its not nice. My girls did it for a while as well....messy. Grew out of it or got tired of hearing us say its not nice.

A phase Im in too. I just say no, and if they do it again I take it away, give them a baby wipe and ask them to clean it up, and they do!
