They tattled on Daddy!

I was getting the boys up from their nap and then changed their sheets as they headed downstairs. I was just finishing when the two of them started back up the stairs asking, "Ice cream cone? Ice cream cone?" I repeated back to be sure I understood and then told them that I don't have any ice cream cones. They just kept saying it over and over. I went downstairs and found DH on the couch with a guilty look on his face. I told him that the boys were asking for ice cream and asked if he knew anything about it. He turned bright red and said he knew nothing. I guess I'll have to start watching it... can't get away with anything around here anymore! :rotflmbo:

 

Similar story here, but it's their grandfather. The boys were staying with my parents for a few days and my parents were out with the boys when mom needed to run in the store for a few things. So she said rather than unpacking the boys, she told my dad to just drive them around a little bit and then come back and pick her up. Well when they came back they were all drinking chocolate milkshakes! Turns out their 'drive around' was actually a 'drive thru'! I suppose that's the kind of thing grandpas are for, though, right?!

I am so laughing...of course, MY parents say things like "when you're mama isn't here we'll have martinis", or "when mama is gone we'll have banana splits"...of course they say things like that when I'M STANDING THERE! It's pretty funny. ANd yes, it is what grandpas and grandmas are for. As for dads, well......that's a whole different story!

fyi - i've never seen either of my parents drink a martini in my entire life!

I am sooo waiting for this in my household!

 

Mine SO catch on to things like that!!! DH will bring ice cream home for us (for after the kids go to bed) and I swaer, no matter what, they see the bag go into the freezer adn it's instant pandemonium...lol!!

Then, after they went to bed the other night, I made some popcorn. Well, one of the girls woke up so I went in to check on them...Reagan was like, "Mommy, you makin' corn?" Ummm...YEP...GOODNIGHT!
