This isn't a happy household right now since we are all sick with some bug. Poor Chase keeps sneezing, stuffy nose, and he's just kind of not energetic. Con isn't bad but he's started to sneeze more, and my honey and I are just miserable. Last night I cuddled Chase to sleep because he was restless, he went down about 830, Con went down about 8:00 ... and Con slept straight through the night! I think he woke once for his nuk. Chase woke a few times crying, gave him his nuk and down he'd go, and at 4 I thought he woke to eat, DH gave him his nuk while I went to the bathroom and when I went in he was back asleep, so I left him ... they both slept until about 630 this morning.
So technically they slept through the night without a feed but does it count since I think they both don't feel well? And they didn't wake up screaming for food this morning, they were just quietly playing in the crib.
So should I stop nursing them at night now? Or just play it by ear, maybe this was a one-time thing since they don't feel well?

I'm sorry to hear about the illness! :hug99: I would play it by ear. My kids always sleep like the dead when they're sick but right afterwards they can't eat enough.

    I would say it counts.

Mine always slept worse when they were sick.

    kendra,
Our little ones are about the same age, and my girls have just now started to sleep thru the night. They will get their last feed around 9-9:30, then we tuck them away into their cribs. Occassionally Abbi will wake up in the night and we'll give her back her binky, and she will go back to sleep. When they awake in the morning, momma better be ready, cuz they are hungry!!
Both girls had really nasty colds a month back and they slept like logs, around the clock. They had to sleep upright, with humidifier in room, and vicks rub on chest..but they got better and ate like normal.

Our pedi also said we could start to feed them cereal and 1st foods, and I think that has helped. Tehy seem to be fuller longer, although when i do feed them real food, they don't nurse as long.

    I hope this helps.

I agree with Jenny, play it by ear, they will probably be ravenously hungry after they start feeling better! Mine always are!
