I took the kids in for thier 3 y/o appt and the stats are:

    Molly-
    41 inches!!!!! (off the charts)
    32 lbs (60%)

    Zach-
    39 1/2 inches (85%)
    31 lbs (45%)

I can't believe dd is that tall! People always think she is atleast 4 y/o and I look at them like theyare crazy, but now I need to give them some credit.
I also asked about ds not being potty trained and the pedi said not to even worry until he is 4 y/o, WHAT?! So I guess we will jsut keep trying, some days he is better (sits on potty, will wear pull ups/underwear) but others he will have NOTHING to do with it.

Sounds like the kids are doing great and thriving Kristi!

I know what you mean about the height thing ... Jake was like 38 inches at his 2 year appt. .. Ellen actually saw a pic of him when I was worried that he was too big (98% for height and 95% for weight) and she said "He looks like a normal 3 year old" ... which is all fine and good, except he's 2! haha ...

Are you and DH tall? I'm about 5'9'' and my DH is 6'1'' so I figure there is a pretty good chance our kids will be relatively tall ... and come on, what girl doesn't want to be tall and thin! haha ...

As for the potty training, I'm no help. Mine haven't really started yet!

Wow!! Your kids are tall, especially your DD. My boys are were almost 40 inches at their 3 year appointment too. My Dh and I are huge sports fans. DH played baseball and basketball in college and I played volleyball in college, so we secretly are hoping for tall kids. Definately makes paying for college easier when the time comes. I say bring on the height and sign them up for sports when they get old enough.

Wow, your DD is bigger then my Sydney (both height and weight) and the same height as Dani. And my girls are usually one of the tallest of the 4 year olds.

Yup, they are certainly tall for 3 yrs old! My twins' are not even '3' yet and won't be until Sept. 30th. I already measured them and so far my son, Justin is 39 inches and Rianna is 38 inches. Accordingly to our home scale, they both weight 33 lbs. My husband's side family are all tall and he is 6'3" and the donor is 5'8". :)

Tall is good! They sound like they're doing great.

I have giants, too. Karina was 39 inches and 34 pounds at her 2-year well visit (off the charts for both), and is wearing a 4T. I worry that she won't have any dates, but every time the ped sees her, he says, "Get a volleyball in this kid's hands!"

She makes Kevan look shrimpy, which is funny because he's in the 90th percentile.

    Hooray for giant kids! :D
