I keep reading about the relaxing evening baths - but so ar my 2 hate them. Am I doing something wrong? we still bathe them in the bathroom sink, which is now really too small, so I need to come up with a better plan now that won't kill my back.

ideas on how to make it fun and relaxing as well as logistics are welcome!

Do you have a baby tub? I used to bathe my girls in that, so they were lying down while I did it. I would sing to them (poor girls :D) or say nursery rhymes, or just talk and they learned to LOVE this time with me. Maybe they would like having that face-to-face interaction in the baby tub.

I agree with Michelle. Try a baby bathtub because they can lay back and just enjoy. I also sung to them (I made up this stupid song about each body part I washed..ug) and made sure the room was really warm before we got in the bath. They hated to be cold and I get that- I hate to be cold too!

I agree. A baby bath. Arjun hated it in the beginning so I would make it as fast as possible and sang to him. Now he loves it so I would just give them a little time.

My two use to love bathing, but now hate it. I dont know why. Maybe because dad is all business and no play. But I will not take over that job too. That is all he does.

Mine also love tubby time, using the baby bathtub in the sink. I've just started introducing tub toys, like rubber duckies and squirt toys. They don't "get it" yet, but they do enjoy looking at the colorful toys and trying to suck on them, lol.

Bring them (or one at a time) in the shower with you. Wash them at the same time, have your partner grab one so he can dry him/her off and hand you the other one. Long process but I hear that they love the skin on skin bond.

Our DS hated bathtime. She would scream until she threw up all over herself and in the bath water of course. We would do baths once or twice a week usually right before bed. Then one Saturday, DH gave them baths in the morning. She loved it. She kicked in the tub and splashed and everything. So we do baths in the morning now. She was just too tired to deal with it. Now she has so much fun, I have to clean up all the water she has splashed around. :)

We were taking our girls in the shower with us like the PP stated, and they LOVED it. Just within the last week or so when I had to do bathtime alone, I used their baby bath tub and they were both thrilled with it. They are 3 months adjusted and kicked and played the entire time. I have never tried bathing them in the sink though... Tonight we threw in a couple of toys and they had a joyous time! Now when they get out of the bath, thats a different story...then they get pissed!
