They found each other!

They are almost 4 months and I put them in walkers tonight and faced them together and they SAW EACH OTHER! It was the first time! They started smiling at each other and then laughing and talking - they were actually taking turns talking and answering each other. It was SO CUTE! The other four of us all stopped and watched silently. My Four year old asked "Do they understand each other?" I said "No...at least, I don't think so!"

I have felt guilty because they don't share a crib or bathtime or anything and I have wondered if I have ruined what ever bonding experience twins might have. It was so nice to see them interact!!!

 

I'll never forget that first time they found each other. What a beautiful moment. Now they just jabber away to each other. The other day they were playing with one toy and talking, then they both stopped, got down off that toy and crawled to another toy and started playing there together. I think they do understand each other! You have to write this in their baby books!

I love watching them interact with each other. It gets better as they get older, too.

The other day, the babies were sitting up together side by side playing. I was doing dishes. Lily started fussing. I looked to see that she had fallen over on her side. Her head was in her brother's lap. He was patting her head babbling. As if to say, "Don't worry. It's OK." It was so cute!

 

I love those moments! They make having twins sooooo special! ALl of the hard work pays off when you hear those little giggles back and forth. I wouldn't trade those moments for the world! How special!
