I must say I feel lucky to have gotten this far with no illness, especially through the winter. For the past week, N has had a runny nose and was irratable (sp?) and I associated it to teething and sure enough he cut his top tooth so I thought I was right. Then last night, S did not sleep well so in the morning i took his temp and he had a little temp. He was totally irratable (ususally so easy going) constant runny nose, gooey eyes, deep cough. I took them both in and N has an ear infec in his right ear and S has it in both ears. So I just gave them cefdinir. Thankfully they are both watching a baby einstein movie right now and bed time is right around the corner. Also, thankfully N can hold his own while I tend to S. Poor babies...and here I thought it was teething!!!!!!! Why cant they just tell us what is wrong!

Poor things! I hope they get better quickly. And you're right, things would be so much easier if they could tell you what was wrong.

    I totally agree! I'm also still waiting on my owner's manual . . .

Hope both feel better real soon. Mine had double ear infections at 9 months and it took DD 2 different antibiotics to clear them up and DS 3 different ones. Hope yours goes quicker!

My two just had their first ear infections two weeks ago! Fever for ds and crying for dd. They both 'tell' me their sick in different ways. I just wish that I didn't have to *guess* what ails them! I hope your two feel better soon. Mine were on amoxicillan.

There is hope!! Zack's last ear infection was discovered by himself. He pulled at it, and then told me "Ear, go doctor" and sure enough he had an ear infection and swollen tonsils.

I hope your little ones get well soon! Yep, you are right, ear infections and teething have the same symptoms, it is hard to tell which is the culprit.

    No way Jamie!!

Thankfully they are much better! I think either the meds really worked fast or they had a mild case.
