Their room used to be so cute

I remember when I was pg how much I worked on their nursery. Even before we found out their gender (boys) I was searching the internet for the "perfect" bedding. I remember bringing them home from the hospital and laying them down in their room and turning on the mobile. I had a book case with books and pictures along with a glider. Stuffed animals placed perfectly around their room.

Flash forward to now at 22 months:
This is what their room is like now. Book case moved into the playroom and all shelves removed (by them).
Glider is in the playroom as well and it's a fun thing to clumb on.

Books also in the playroom...all over the floor. Stuffed animals are on the floor of the closet. I had them in one of those net thingys on the ceiling but on a daily basis they would want to take them all out so it's just easier to keep them in the closet for easy reach.

    Pictures packed away.

The dresser has bungee cords on it to keep the drawers closed; otherwise there would be clothes everywhere. I actually took out the bottem drawer because they figured out if the stand in it, it gives them a few extra inches to grab what's on the top of the dresser(diapers, wipes ect) which as of last week has been put on the shelves in the closet.

I used to have a floor lamp in there as well but once they started to walk and pull things over, it went into the garage and has been replaced by a ceiling fan with a light.

Their cribs used to be up again a wall but they were grabbing things off the dresser so I moved them.

At least they have not figured out how to climb out of their cribs....yet.

Isn't it amazing how fast they can baby proof their own rooms  I feel the same way about the playroom! I went to a lot of work to get it ready and they have basically destroyed or climbed on everything. I am looking forward to re-doing their room when they move to toddler beds, which I hope is a ways a way but at least something good will come out of it :) I totally know how you feel!

ugh! we have very similar situations!! though don't let my twins know about pulling the drawers out to stand on! I have sliding closet doors and would like bifolds that you can put a lock on... not sure if we'll do that or not, but its the same thing, the clothes get thrown everywhere! ah well.

Oh yeah, my DD's room is very sparse, she is in a big girl bed, so we try to limit what she can get into. I imagine the same will go for DS when it's time for him...

Oh yes!! I know what you mean!! A little disheartening because of all the effort you put into it, but a tad hilarious cause children teach you new things everyday! Even if it is that a floor lamp will not stay put when there are toddlers running a muck around the house ^_^ [btw, we put our stand up lamp behind our t.v. for that same reason [sigh]]
