Their daddy will be so proud when I tell him...

The boys have learned to open his beer fridge. Today, I heard the door open and the two of them giggling and running through the hall. I found them on the couch with a can of Miller Lite each trying their darndest to pop the tops. I told them that it's Daddy's and they are not to touch it and made them put it back. An hour or so later, they did the same exact thing only with a bottle each of Michelob Pale Ale. I guess they figured it wasn't the same blue can so it might be OK. I marched them to the fridge and told them EVERYTHING in there is Daddy's and it's ALL off limits. Then, their grandparents came over. The two of them ran to the beer fridge and got two cans out. I was right behind them and reminded them that it was Daddy's and they weren't to touch it. Trent was insistant that "Grandma drink!" I had to choke back the laughter.

Seriously, though, I think we'll strap the door.

:rotflmbo: :drinks: I wanna party with your kids!!!

That's too funny. They do sell little dealio's for the fridge. I'm on the verge of needing them! Thanks for sharing, I needed a chuckle before bed!

    That's so funny!

My boys have been obsessed with DHs beer bottles since they were about 10m (which he finds hilarious and has been encouraging it  ). Opening the frig started becoming a problem about 2 months ago, but they usually go for the condiments in the door. We tried one frig latch from Wal Mart first....what a piece of crap.

We then got the "Multipurpose Appliance Latch" that both Target & Wal Mart sell (it's like $2.50)...works like a charm (and I haven't had to mop up an ENTIRE gallon of milk....again....since we installed it).

OMG that is too funny!! My twins go into our little soda refrigerator and Mikayla does try to pop the tops on that, but can't do it yet. I'm sure if we had beer in the house they would be just like your two!!

    :rotflmbo: :rotflmbo: Hilarious!!

That is so funny! My kids haven't done that, but one day when Daddy was drinking an Amstel, Nolan shouted at him "No, that's Mommy's!!"

One day last Christmas my DH was home for lunch and he was drinking a Coke. The white polar bear was on the Coke can. I was in the other room and DH was eating lunch with K&M. Michael starting yelling "BEAR BEAR."

We didn't realize he was pointing to the bear on the can. We thought he was yelling "BEER BEER!" I was ready to strangle my DH!

The wonderful thing for your husband, is he can now sit on the couch and never have to get up. He can send your kids to get him another beer. LOL.

:rotflmbo: That is totally hilarious. Too bad you don't have a kegerator -- I bet they could operate the tap and serve Daddy his beer.

We have a fridge latch from One Step Ahead that works pretty well, though it's a pain for us because you can't open the fridge with one hand. I never realized how much I do that until I couldn't do it anymore. But mine are just on the verge of being able to open the fridge, so we don't have to use the latch all the time, only when they're begging for something.
