With my sister's wedding coming up on Sat, we've all been so busy......I had volunteered to make the 2 flower girl dresses, but waited till the last minute (of course). So yesterday my sister came up & took the kids to grandma's house so I could sew. I jokingingly said, "Just tell Grandma they're spending the night!" but my sister said "Why not?" and grabbed jammies just in case. Later that night all us girls went to the salon while the bride to be got pampered & my brother babysat......they were doing so good I decided to give it a try. I was nervous, but have to admit a night to ourselves was so nice! Anyway, they just called.....kids did great, didn't wake up at all & they're having a blast watching the cousins (who are all in town for the wedding) play Guitar Hero. :) And now I want to cry b/c it seems like one more step to growing up!

WOO HOO for the first overnight! It gets easier/better each time. Remember it's not just them growing up but you're one step closer to every parent's dream - occassional FREEDOM! ;) I remember the first time my 5 y/o spent the night out... talk about bizarre. My dh and I didn't have any plans just ended up hanging out at home. It felt SOOO weird to have an "empty" house. We got used to that feeling pretty quickly.
