My little girls are 13 months old and still have no teeth, when did your little ones get their first teeth?

Annie (full term)had teeth at 6months.
Joey (30 weeker) didn't get teeth until just before 13 months.
    Ellie (36 weeker)got her first tooth January 2, 10 1/2 month.

No rhyme or reason that I can see. Joey is still missing teeth (missing 3 cuspids, 4th just popped lastweek)and she'll be 2 next month. I ask her daily,"Joey, do you have any new teeth today?" She replies, " No,no." "How about tomorrow? Any teeth tomorrow?" "No,no" "Any new teeth next week?" "No no." "Joey, are you ever going to get new teeth?" "No, no, no." It's really quite funny to hear her!

Hope your girls get their teeth soon!

I think ours were about 6 months old when the first one popped in. Did your pediatrician mention anything about it at their 12 month appt?

My girls started getting teeth around 8 months adjusted age. Wonder when you or your SO got teeth when you both were little?

We still haven't had our 1 year check up, it will be on the 21st of this month, that is the soonest I could get them in, but it will be something I will talk about with him for sure. I was just a little concerned, all my friends that have had babies in the last year all have teeth, even the newest one he is 2 1/2 months and he has 2 teeth.

    Thanks everyone

Josie got her two middle bottom teeth at 5 1/2 months, Bella at 7 1/2 months. Then no more teeth until 9 months, when they started getting a ton all at the same time. In the last 2 1/2 months Josie has gotten 6 new teeth and Bella has gotten 5!

No problems with his teeth or eating either!! He'd eat steak with no teeth, if it was cut into small pieces.

Mine started teething at about 4 months. They both got their first tooth at 5 months and by a year they had 8 teeth (four top, four bottom). They are now 19 months old and have 16 teeth. They have literally been teething since they were 4 months old. It's nuts! Oh, they were 34 weekers.

On another note, my nephew who was full-term got his first tooth a week before his birthday.

My oldest DD (41weeks) got her first 2 teeth at 4 months. By 12 months she had 12.

Trevor (26w6d) got his first tooth at 7.5 months and now at almost 12 months has 7.

Emilie (25w3d) got her first at 9.5 months and now at 12 months has 2.

Emilie is a much better eater, with table food, than Trevor even though he has 5 more teeth.

My son only had two teeth when we went for their 15 month appointment. I mentioned it to the pedi, and he said that his son didn't get his first tooth until 15 months and that it was nothing to worry about. They will come in when they are ready.

Ditto! It seems like the teething is NEVER going to end! Just when I think their mouths are full another molar starts squeezing it's way in. Nobody ever warned me that toddler teething was even more miserable than infant teething either.

I don't normally post over here, but this caught my attention. My DD got her bottom two at 4.5 months. I worked in a Day Care nursery at the time and it seemed like the babies were all different as far as when they started getting teeth. I think the average for the first tooth (or 2) was probably between 6 and 8 months. One little girl (full-termer) was 14 months when she got her first tooth. I have heard it has a lot to do with genetics.

My 37-weekers got their first two teeth at about 6 months. They got the first four over the course of a month or so -- since then they seem to come in batches, and Sarah has pulled way ahead. At 1 year, Sarah had 7 teeth and Amy had 4. At 14 months, Sarah has 12 and Amy has 6.
