I am 28 weeks pregnant and really haven't felt my boys "MOVE" since Monday. We tried different things throughout the week (foods, etc..) and nothing seemed to get them to move. I felt at times I would feel them turn, but not kick as much as they have been. Well, I was VERY concerned today and went to the hospital to have a NST done. Everything was fine and they were moving the WHOLE time, but I was not feeling it. My dr. thinks they are facing each other and kicking one another and not me.

When I went back to work I was talking to 2 coworkers and was telling them about it and how I feel so much better knowing that they are ok. And this women said "Yeah - now you don't have to walk around wondering if you are carrying around dead babies!"

I was SO MAD I HAD to walk out of the room before I lost it!!!

Ugh, what a moron to say something like that. I think if I were in that situation, I would still be cranking my lower jaw back up to my face.

I also want to add that I think this is pretty funny:

Makes me think about what you have to look forward to (sibling rivalry already! heehee)

Yeah, I'm glad to hear that your twins are doing well, but I ditto the responses here. She obviously has never had children herself. I remember reading a really good book about two years ago that was about a pregnancy of a Down's child. I had so many friends who would have loved that book, but a few were pregnant and I wouldn't have even suggested it to them. There are just somethings you don't say or do to people who are pregnant and anyone who has ever gone through that would know better.

BTW, I just got done with an u/s this afternoon and saw baby A kick baby B and then Baby B "punch" back. It was hilarious. Your next u/s should be interesting! :)

What a horrible thing to say.... Some people - you just have to wonder don't you.
Just to let you know that I had an U/S on Wednesday and they were both facing each other - which is why I must too be feeling a lot less kicking than I did with the 2 singleton pregnancies ( I was a little worried also about the lack of movement).

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy - and stay away from that woman....

What a bunch of idiots you work with! I am thrilled your kiddos are doing well. I was born at 46 weeks. Yes, I was 6 weeks late. They kept telling my mom her due date was wrong even though I was her 6th child and she was not an idiot. Her neighbor told her I was probably dead and that was why I wasn't coming out yet. When I was born (11 lbs 4 oz, LONG hair and fingernails and a messed up cord because I was so post term) my mom took me to the neighbor and said, "Does she look dead to you?" People are idiots, 31 years ago and now! :nea:
