Just wanted to give an update on my DD. We went back today to the pediatric Opthamologis and since she still is crossing her eyes it is time to go forward with glasses. I am nervous, hoping that she will adjust to them well and of course worry that when she gets older kids will be mean. However, I of course am thankful that we are getting things corrected. We have yet to get her fitted for the glasses so that will be next. I was so annoyed that the Dr. took our insurance but the lens fitting place located in their office did not. Oh well, another appointment to go to. We go back in 8 weeks and hope to see improvement. If none is noticed that surgery may be necessary but for now, glasses are the only treatment. The Dr. also said that most babies grow out of the glasses by the time they are 8 if not sooner so we shall see...

Glad that at least you know its time and you can move forward. I am sure she will adjust quickly to her new glasses.

I agree - she won't think anything of them, it will just be they way it is for her.

My brother got glasses when he was 1 (don't remember the months) he did grow out of them in 3rd or 4th grade

she will do great it is easier to put glasses on a 7 month old vs a 5 year old :)
Ben never fights he actually gets mad if Mitch pulls them off. They are happy they can see better. I hope the glasses work. Keep us updated.

I think she will do fine. She will probably be happy to see and will be content exploring her world. Please do post a pic. I think babies are cute with glasses.
