The twins have arrived at 33w5d

After 11w and 4 days of hospital bed rest for dilatation, bulging membranes and preterm labor, my water broke at 4AM on 8/23. I was 33w6d pregnant. Since I was on 5mg daily shots of Lovenox to prevent blood clots, we had to wait until 7AM to do the c-section. The twins were born respectively at 08:10 (Iman our little girl) and 08:11(Johann our little boy). They both came out crying, but Iman, my baby A, needed some oxygen to help her breathe. They are both in the NICU doing well. Iman came off the CPAP after 5 hours, so they are both on room air and being bottle fed. Johann graduated to the open crib. Iman may join her brother in the next day or two hopefully. I have been able to walk around today thru the pain and the shortness of breath (Yay!!!). am currently pumping, but my milk has not come up yet, so I have yet to pump 2 oz at each sitting. I will be released on Wednesday.
We are grateful to God that he has allowed me to carry them for so long. We continue to pray for the twins' continued health. Thanks to the ladies, and men, of this board for the support I found here.

Congratulations! That's awesome that you were able to keep them in for so long! It must feel nice to be off of bed rest! Hopefully they have a short stay in the NICU!

Congrats Mama!! I just had to post since I just realized our babies have the same birthday. I think yours are a few hours or so older. My Daniel came at 11:43am, and Sarah at 11:49am!!
