I swear, i should rent my twins out as a weight loss plan! They can be completely asleep but the second I try to put anthing in my mouth one of them (or both!) starts crying. It's almost like they know!
I've taken to eating dinner at 9PM after they go to bed because if I try to eat any other time I either get a cold meal in 2 bite increments or I have to scarf it down so fast I end up with killer indigestion.
No advice needed, I just needed to vent

All babies do that!! It's very odd how they JUST KNOW!! [IMG] I used to eat with my ez2nurse pillow on my lap and a baby on the pillow with a bottle!!

I used to eat really fast, then I got pregnant and nothing sounded good and I was sick the whole time, so I ate really slow. I thought, this is great...learning how to slow down my eating and then they came and I was back to SCARF MODE! [IMG] Oh well, whatcha gonna do?!

I posted something similar a few weeks ago. How do people find the time to eat?! We have the same issue. I don't know, I'm with you that it's difficult to eat a meal let alone a hot one [IMG]

[IMG] I am SO with you on that. Do they have some sort of internal radar that goes off when we try to eat?? I have pretty much given up on trying to eat anything when they ae awake [IMG] It must get better, right?

HaHa, DH swears this happens to him!

I eat breakfast while they are napping (which is right now!), lunch right after they eat and are playing independently and DH/I eat dinner while they are watching Baby Einstein right before bed at 7pm. This seems to be working out pretty well for now. [IMG]

I'm waiting for Norah to take her morning nap so I can eat something. I normally try and eat by now but today Norah thinks I should diet!

I used to go to the drive-thru for lunch. I'd load the boys up in their car seats, they'd fall asleep on the way to the drive-thru, I'd eat on the way home. I don't recommend this, though, as it started a bad mid-day nap habit.

I wake up early just so I can get 1 hot meal a day. It usually works out. The rest of the day I'm starving or scarfing! What kills me is that James (usually) will start to fuss as soon as I take my first bite, so I go in and replace his binky. He settles down and makes his little snoring noise. So I head towards the door, he fusses. I go back to the crib, he snores. I move towards the door, fussing, go back and stand next to crib for a few minutes, not a peep. Just give up and go completely out of bedroom, shut door and listen to him fuss for 3 seconds then fall asleep. [IMG] Everytime! You'd think I would just leave after the first binky replacing so I could eat!

I was at my mom's house this weekend and she had made me a grilled cheese that had sat for probably 3 minutes while I was changing someone's diaper. She said she was going to eat mine and then make me a new one because mine was going to get cold. I said back to her (my mom had twins too) that I hadn't eaten anything warm in I couldn't remember how long!

We (unfortunately) have taken to eating dinner after they are in bed. I hate it, but it's the only way at this point in time. Either that, or I eat when they eat (5:15'ish) and DH eats dinner alone. That would only work if I could get dinner made for 5:15.

Yes, I now eat so fast that it is kind of disturbing. I suspect I look like I am frantic or haven't had food in forever (which is kinda true). Also, what I would give for a hot cup of coffee....

Yep. I loose my apetite when they are crying. I can't even think about food.

Add into that equation how much cardio and weight lifting you do caring for twins. My upper body strength is getting fantastic hauling 2 20+ pound babies around all the time. I'm in the best shape I've been in years.

Oh i'm glad i'm not the only one! I eat brekkie standing in the kitchen before DH leaves for work in the morning, otherwise I'd never get it. For lunch I usually eat carrots and hummus (which can sit on the counter for hours and i can grab one here and there) or soup that i can microwave over and over! And like many of you, we eat supper after they go to bed. We tried for a while to eat supper when DH got home from work, but it was so nuts. We can enjoy the meal much more if we wait til after they go to bed, even if we're eating at 8pm every night.
