the terrible no-good very bad day

To make a long story short, here are some highlights (believe me, this is only a sample):

- Ronan, who has been smacking his head for the last few days and generally been out of sorts, does indeed have a double ear infection (what an overachiever <_< ).
- Declan, not to be outdone, has a swollen place on his gum--not in the front, mind you, where he still doesn't have any teeth--but towards the side, suggesting to me that he's trying to teethe several places at once. So I guess I've got two overachievers. <_<
- The stroller was the victim of a mismanaged parking garage cleaning that left it soaked in black ooze. Yummy. :angry:
- DH is still overseas, and my mother is still here. In the latter case, that was on balance more helpful than not today, but no less stressful for all that, if that makes sense. For ex., whenever the kids cry a little or fuss she's convinced that they're deathly ill, and keeps pushing for me to give them tylenol and all this other drama.

Apologies for the rant, and a belated thanks to Becky and KYSweetheart for the advice a few days ago on Ronan's symptoms. I didn't have a chance to post until today, but your advice was right on the money!

Thanks for all the good wishes. Unfortunately, Decky decided he couldn't let little brother get ahead of him, and ran a high fever all night, and I took him to the doctor, and yup--ear infection. Hey, at least it's the same medicine, right?

I figure that I'm due for some seriously good karma after all this! Hope everyone's doing well today! Thanks again for all the support! I promise that next time I post I'll actually try to have some happy news
