Hi there. My huge 5-month old babies are almost too long and heavy for their infant seats so we'll have to make the switch to convertibles (not looking forward to it). I think that the Sunshine Kids seats are the narrowest (http://www.babyproofingplus.com/item6835.htm) - does anyone know? We have a Pontiac Vibe with limited space. I like to sit in between the boys once in a while, if they're fussy, so I'd like to get thin seats. Also, if we ever have another baby (can't believe I'm typing this) it would be great NOT to have to buy another car!
Thank, ladies - you're all so amazing with the suggestions - don't know what I'd do without this site.

I wanted to post the site that Nancy posted. I think the Radians are very narrow and they have high top slots (higher than the Marathon) so you can probably keep them harnassed to each 4 or 5 without a problem, which is great. They have the Radian 65 (up to 65lbs) and the Radian 80 (up to 80lbs). The only negative thing I've heard about them is that they don't really recline (they're pretty upright) which isn't that great for smaller kids, but they'll last! Make sure that the lowest slots are less than 1 inch above their shoulders, otherwise the seat is too large.
