so i'm on partial bedrest now, and my DH and i went to target last night to look at some stuff, and because i can't walk around too much, i decided to ride one of those mobile shopping cart things... it was hilarious! my DH was like, "is that really as fast as it goes?" i got a few funny looks, and DH kept trying to justify by saying things like, "this is what happens when you're having twins!" but the funniest part? when you go in reverse, it beeps. REALLY LOUD! poor DH. he was like, "um, i'll just run around and get what we need and you just take your time here and look around.... " it really was hysterical... especially the fact that i kept bumping into things. :p

I did the same things as you. I was on bedrest and was going stir crazy, my dr said as long as I was in a cart or wheel chair then it was ok. I got ALOT of look when I was in those things and some very rude comments , good thing I was to big to get out of my chair quick enough or I would have sat on the lady :). YOu really should take a picture next time it will be a fun memory to share with your twins!!

I can't imagine, lol. I got enough looks when DH was pushing me in a wheelchair through Costco. Definetly something to get a pic of!

I had to use one of those things from Feb-May. I broke several bones in my foot, had reconstructive surgery and was on crutches. DH refused to go shopping by himself so I had to use one of those. Next time take off one of your shoes and no one will question it :icon_biggrin: Your foot doesn't have to look swollen but if you take off your shoe everyone will think it's hurt.

BTW you're right those things go soooooo slow and that beep is so loud. I would go all the way around an isle to avoid making that beeping noise.

Oh, that is funny! I just used one of those last week for the first time. I felt so conspicuous, b/c I felt that everyone was not only looking at me, this huge pregnant girl in an electric wheelchair, but I was also running into things, not to mention cutting corners too closely and having to beep-beep-beep back over and over! My dh loved it, he thought it was hilarious and insisted on taking video of me on his cell phone, which he has now shown our whole family. Oh well, another funny story to tell the girls when they get older - "look what mom did for you guys!".
