My girls are 9 1/2 months old and still no sign of a first tooth on either one. This seems odd to me. I remember my older daughter getting hers around 4 or 5 months. Could this lateness have anything to do with being twins? Does anyone else have late bloomers? When did the first tooth come in on your twins?

*Sitting here waiting on a tooth* :pardon:

Well, my oldest had her teeth nice and early. It took DD3 (my twin) until the end of her 12th month to get a tooth. Even after that they came slowly. DD4 was also slooow at getting her teeth. Today, 19 months, she has just 3 bottom front, 4 top front, and i think one molar. I did a "tooth check" daily....I thought those teeth were never going to come in!!

Natalie got her 2 bottom teeth in about a month ago- maybe 3 weeks - Carley's 2 bottom teeth just popped through Friday. I do a daily teeth check too - mostly to wipe their gums down as my Mom laughed hysterically at me when I asked her if I should be brushing Natalies teeth. :D

No teeth here. I wait and wait and wait and wait but there are still none.... I think they are gonna be 21 and still gumming their dinner. LOL

The boys are seven months and they both had two teeth at six months. One just had another two come in - one top, one bottom and two more about to erupt top and bottom and the other has four coming in just below the skin. The pedi had told us not to expect teeth until around 12 months so if I were you I wouldn't really worry. The only problem besides the teething pain right now is they are both biting each other using bubbies arms as a teething ring and they are just too young to quite understand the full concept of no this young.

One of mine just got his first tooth at 9.5 months. I too, do/did a tooth check everyday. I wonder what they think when they see my finger coming to their mouth all the time??

Hannah was 13 months when she got her first tooth. You might have to wait a long time still!

i had a friend who's daughter didn't get them until she was almost 2!!!!! she was a bit of a late bloomer, but the doctor didn't seem to get concerned until around 1.5 yrs. so , who knows! were they preemies as well? that might have something to do with it too, as they might come out closer to adjusted age.

DD1 got her first two teeth at 4 and a half months, and I only tell you that to say that there is such a WIDE range of normal. I worked at a Day Care for a while and babies there really got their teeth at such different times. The lady I worked with said her daughter didn't get any until 13 months, but they seem to eat just fine! :)

Don't worry, they'll come in sometime.

Ashley got her first tooth six weeks ago and then the second one appeared around 2 weeks ago. NO sign of any teeth with Chloe and they're both nearly one :D

I can not believe it. The day after I ask this question I do a check and feel both babies first tooth coming through! They look at me like i'm weird as I'm making a big happy fuss over them and rubbing my finger on their gums. Yay! :yahoo:
