How long does it take for the line to go away? Also my stomach looks like I went tanning. I am assuming it is bruising. Also does your belly button go back to where it was? I pretty much lost all my weight and am back down to about 100lbs, I was 95lbs before but I have a really small frame. With clothes on I look pretty much the same, but then when you take the clothes off it like wow. I still can't fit into my prepregnancy clothes because I have a little bit of a pouch, not sure if it is fat or my uterus. If I am standing the skin doesn't look too bad, but if I am lying down or bending over there is excess skin. I am 8 weeks pp.I am thinking the bikini days are a wrap lol, is there still hope for the belly button to go back and for the skin to shrink back a little. The strech marks are probably not going any where but if I could get rid of this litttle pouch and extra skin so I can get back into my jeans that would be great. Is there any hope?
Everyone keeps saying how good I look, but I am like you haven't seen me naked lol

The line fades pretty slowly depending on your skin color too. Mine is finally gone at 4 months. The bruising around my c/s incision took almost 4 months to go away as well. I didn't stretch so bad though or have my belly button move though so can't help much with that. :D

I got 'that line' AFTER giving birth to the twins, but not Evan. I never had it during my pregnancy and it was faint. It took a good month to disappear if I remember correctly.
Give your self time to get back into shape. YOu were stretched a lot!

For me, it took a while for th eline to go away. My belly button turned into an outtie during my pregnancy, but it is back to normal. Sounds like you are really looking great - I still look 20 weeks pregnant at 6 months pp, and going to the gym! The uterus shrinks for the first 6 weeks. If you are only 8 weeks pp, you will probably still lose some weight, especially if you are breastfeeding. I have to really work hard to get these last 20+ pounds off, but I enjoy it. Congrats on the babies!

It took me a good 5/6 months to get rid of that line completely, as well as the dark skin on my belly button. Believe it or not, the rest of the dark skin left my belly button at 7 months. I was beginning to think it was there to stay.

As for the pooch, I still have some excess stretchy twin skin 8.5 months later. I did lose all my pregnancy weight within the first 6 weeks, but my tummy has gone from being ok to needing industrial strength sucky inny hoiking up underwear as a matter of course. I'm trying to lose 15-20lbs at the moment though (not pregnancy related, more likely stress related from before the pregnancy), so hopefully that will help a little.

For the stretch marks, I've heard Bio Oil is supposed to be great, but it takes a good three months for it to work. I'm only a couple weeks into using it.

I think you should give it at least until 3 mo pp to lose ALL the weight and have your uterus shrink back to normal. I know thats about how long it took me.
If you are referring to the csection line, it took mine a while to fade back to normal skin color. . dont remember exactly how long, but its pretty low, so if you lose all your little pouch, you might be able to wear a bikini again by summer, since you are soo small!

I had the crazy idea that my line would never go away  It actually faded out within a month or 2.

For some strange reason mine never went away. It faded, but it's not completely gone. I think I was a RARE case where, at some point, it was/is about .5 inch thick and got very dark. It's sad and embarassing really. I called it my pepsi sign or peace sign cause it wasn't one solid line.

As for my belly button.. it's more like what belly button -_- my 'twin skin' hangs over the top of it a little - gross. I am down to 125 [118 pre pregnancy]. I was 190 upon getting induced. People always told me they couldn't tell I was pregnant if they were looking at the back of me. I still had a waistline for cryin out loud

In the end, I carried almost ALL in the front.

I'm almost 4 months postpartum and mine is gone, i forget when it went away. As for the skin/fat/uterus whatever you want to call it...i wouldn't worry about it at all, i would say if you have such a small frame its probably just extra skin, that will tighten up in the end. With my first singleton baby i was back to pre-pregnancy shape by 4 months, with singleton #2 (they were only 17 months apart) it took me about a year...but i was able to wear a bikini again. I'm pretty tall though and i only gained 34 pounds with each pregnancy, but my point is it'll happen. This time around with the twins I've got about 8 pounds to go to get back to where i was before, but i can tell i just have a lot of extra skin, i get frustrated and want to see results faster, but then look around and realize i actually look pretty good, so I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say you probably look great, and could get away with a two piece now if you wanted.

I still have my line but it is slowly fading. I lost all the baby weight but still it seems I have the twin skin, it is gross. I just really need to focus on toning and hopefully can see results.

Wow I can't beleive all of you that have your line fade so fast!! I remmebering asking my dr with my Dd when it was suppose to go away and he said expect about 9 months...which is what it took. My boys are 9 months now and I can still see my line a little. It was never really dark or wide either.

Same here! I still have some twin skin on my belly. I gained 55lbs and have lost 53lbs but the little "flap" is there which is just extra skin. I showed my best friend (one night after drinking too many beers - LOL!!) and she said it was nothing and to stop worrying! Still, I know what I used to look like!

As for the lines, yes they´ve all gone and I can hardly see the stretch marks that appeared 5-6 weeks before I gave birth. I can´t remember exactly when it all faded but it must have been around 4 months or so. My belly button will never be the same!

I dont exercise though. If I did, I´d probably be back to what I was pre-pregnancy. Having twins though doesnt give me much incentive to go to the gym as I like to have my free time to relax!! LOL!

I was just noticing that my line is still there, and I'm 13+ months post-partum. It's faint, but it was never very dark.

Hey Ladies, thanks for the replies it is good to know that if took some of you a while for the line to go away, but that it eventually did. I was begining to think this was going to be my new look lol. It is amazing that just the last 3 weeks of begining pregnant caused my stomach to change so much, before that I had no stretch marks and my belly botton really popped out. I am so glad I was able to carry them to 37 weeks, but man those last 3 weeks made a huge difference in what my stomach looks like now. I wish I would of appreciated my body before hand and got one last picture in the bikini LOL The stretch marks are pretty much the same color as the rest of my skin, you can just tell they are there because the texture is different and they make up this circle of what used to be my baby bump ( or should we say mountain lol). Do those creams change the texture or just help the stetch marks fade back to normal skin color? Too bad I can't share some of the stretch marks with my husband, man do they have it easy, but it is worth it to experience pregnancy. Now I feel like my mother when she used to say to me that your body never looks the same after being pregnant so enjoy it now, now I tell her try being pregnant with two, then we will talk. Anyway thanks for all the input I just need to move forward and realize that what will be will be and be greatful that I have my two kids and my health :D
