We're at the point of buying the girls convertible car seats, as it's getting really heavy to lug them around and they are sticking their toes off the end of the infant carriers anyhow. We would love to get the Britax seats, but simply cannot swing $600 right now. I think we've decided to go with the Evenflo Triumph seats. I found them online for $109 each. Any feedback on these seats or a better alternative would be welcomed...thanks!

If it were me, I'd JUMP on this deal... Britax Marathon Convertible Car Seat in Ashley Floral. $179 is super cheap and the Marathon would last you a long time.

We had the Evenflo Triumph and it's a very good seat but my kids got too tall in the body shortly after their 3rd birthday and we had to buy new seats.

We love our Evenflo Triumph seats...I think they are Deluxe LX or something like that. We're still rear facing and I'm pretty sure we'll be going to 5pt harness booster seats when the boys outgrow these. I got that $109 deal too but had to get them at BRU w/ coupons and the twin discount. Before you order any seats, make sure you go to BRU and try them in your car first. Measurements can be off due to the angle that the seat is at.

I have both types of seats you mention. They are both great seats and you cant go wrong with either purchase. :good:

I've heard great things about the evenflo's!! I fortunately have 1 britax marathon already because my older dd is really tall and outgrew the height on her graco comfortsport around age 2, and the britax had the highest top strap slot I could find and the skinniest base (both requirements for us). I hated spending the money on it but now that we have twins, I'm in the position of needing a second convertible seat. Again i am fortunate my best friend has a marathon she's not using and it's only 2 yrs old, I trust 100% so I am going to buy that one off of her for cheap (she thinks free, I think not! :p ).

I love the britax mostly because of the height thing, my girl twin isn't too far behind her big sister in height so I have a feeling she'd outgrow something with a shorter height adjustment too.

We just purchased the Evenflo - I had wanted the Britax but could not afford them. I am pretty happy although sometimes it is a bit tricky to get the belt to loosen :( I was sent a coupon for BRU 15% off till the 25th - PM me your email and I will email it to you. With that and the twin discount you could get 25% off

we have the evenflo triumph advance premier (i think that's all of the right words in the right order). we love them! they're so easy to use and the boys are so much more comfortable and happier than in their infant carriers.

just as an FYI to ease your mind about the britax, two versions of the evenflo triumph got the top two scores on consumer reports. they rated the seats on crash test data and ease of use and the regular evenflo triumph and the advance both came out on top. the one with the absolute best crash test rating was a $60 cosco. so price isn't everything!

We also have the Evenflo Triumph Advance and really like them. They were easy to install, straps are easy to adjust and seem pretty comfy for the kids (I have not heard them complain). Good luck with your decision!

We also have both of those seats, and they are both great. But I think if I had to choose I would go with the Britax, especially if you can find them for a good deal! :good:

I just went through this last weekend. We ended up getting the Triumph seats ($117 at Target). We LOVE them! Our girls are so comfortable in them too :)

We have the Britax Marathon's however our runner up seat was the First Years True Fit which is about 1/2 the price of the Marathon. We intend to keep the girls RF as long as possible at the Marathon makes that a lot easier than the True Fit so we sucked up the price but I've heard nothing but good things about the True Fit.

I almost got the ashley Marathon for 179 on albee for my dd and then a Roundabout 50 for my ds for 200 but decided to go with the Graco My Rides for 140 each plus the twin discount at bru. They rear face till 40 lbs and are supposed to be easy to install, are super cozy and really cute.

We had an Evenflo Titan Elite, but we realized that they don't fit rear-facing very well in our Jetta so we sold it on Craigslist and bought the Marathons from Albee Baby. When you think about it, that carseat will last you until they need a cheaper booster, and you can do extended rear-facing in it, if you want to. It is a bigger carseat, but it actually fits better in a smaller car. ??? Go figure! But, the ones on sale are REALLY cute for girls, and a GREAT price!

    Hope this helps!

We wanted four carseats since dh and I pick up alternately and it would have been a pain to take those in and out so we just couldn't swing four Britax. We ended up getting the Evenflo Titan Sport at BRU that were $79.99 each before the twin discount - and we love them! The kids seem comfortable, they fit well in my van, and they are actually decent looking - red, neutral. The only issue I have seen with them is that the straps twist pretty easily but a friend of mine with the Britax says she faces the same thing so it might just be a carseat issue in general! We got two Evenflo Triumph's as well and are pleased and so glad that we didn't spend the extra moolah!!!
