Good Morning! Every M, W, and F, we will post a new thread with a different letter of the alphabet. In those threads, please post your favorite tips/advice, beginning with that letter, pertaining to the FY with twins! No repeats please, and be creative! You may post as many replies as you like in each thread.

We will be archiving these threads in the Parenting Twins Information section of the Twin Wiki! [Wiki]The_First_Year_With_Twins:_A_to_Z[/Wiki]

This is the thread for the letter C.

Cuddling with 2 newborn babies is the best!

Carrots, sweet potatoes, and other orange veggies can make your babies have an orange tint to their noses! It's harmless, and usually goes away when your babies start eating more of a variety.

Car seats should be rear facing until they are at least one year old and 20lbs.

Co- sleepers are very convenient during the first couple of months especially if you are breastfeeding.

Cameras must be with you at all times b/c you are going to see so many cute shots.

Carrying two babies at one time can get heavy.

Caring for yourself is just as important as caring for two little ones. Make sure to take some time for yourself whenever possible.

    Calendars!

First year calendars are a must. It is so much easier to write everything down in those and transfer to a baby book later. I jot things down on my regular calendar and purse calendar all the time too!

Colds happen - at all ages. Congestion can be helped with a humidifier (warm or cold mist), saline nose solution and the dreaded bulb syringe. Elevating a babies head while they sleep (laying on a boppy or rolled up towel/blanket under mattress) can help too. Talk to your ped about an antihistamine after 6 months, some will okay it.

Colic will pass sooner than you think...it seems like forever when you're in it, but you'll get through it and be so proud that you made it.

Capture your babies attention by talking and singing to them!

Caldesene Powder works great on diaper rashes!

Coordinating the babies schedules in the beginning can be very difficult, but well worth the effort!

Capture every milestone and smile on camera, then share them with everyone!

Carry a change of clothes for you and your babies along with other diaper bag necessities, you never know when they will have an accident, possibly on you.

Calm yourself down when you are getting stressed out with the babies. Sometimes you do have to go into another room and take a couple of minutes to get yourself together to deal with them at their bad moments.

Constipation in babies is pretty common, especially when introducing solids. Foods starting with the letter "P" (pears, prunes, peaches) are a good remedy along with a warm bath.

Carrying two babies at a time can be mastered, but be very careful when you do it!!!

Correctly installed carseats can help keep your babies safe while in the car. Most local firestations will help you install them or just check to make sure they are installed correctly:)

Call someone when you have a question. Moms, sisters, friends, relatives, your pediatrician, someone will have the answer. Or ask it here on twinstuff.

Crawling is not technically a milestone- some babies never crawl!

Cord care is very important in the beginning if your babies come home with attached umbilical cords. Cleaning the area with a little alcohol and a q-tip after every diaper change works great!

Crazy- is how you're going to feel some of the time. Just remember that if everyone is fed(momma too!) and safe you're doing great!

Chiropractors have helped all of my babies who had alignment problems. They are also good for calming colicky babies.

C-sections are not the end of the world and usually not as horrible as you can imagine them to be. In the end it doesn’t matter how they get here as long as they are healthy.
