Hi FY mommies! We are starting something new in FY today. Every M, W, and F, we will post a new thread with a different letter of the alphabet. In those threads, please post your favorite tips/advice, beginning with that letter, pertaining to the FY with twins! No repeats please, and be creative! You may post as many replies as you like in each thread.

We will be archiving these threads in the Parenting Twins Information section of the Twin Wiki!

This is the thread for the letter A. I will start...

A great way to learn about the first year with twins is to visit Twinstuff.com! :wavey:

Always keep a baby with reflux upright for 30 minutes after feedings!

Allow for extra time when going somewhere with your twins – Always bring extra everything (wipes, bibs, diapers, etc.)

Allow dads to help out, even if they don't do it "the right" way.

Arguing with your babies about bed/nap time, doesn't help. <_< :D

Aquariums are a great place to take your babies.

Amazon.com is a cheap place to buy diapers and baby toys.

A notepad kept in a handy place can help keep track of milestones until you have a chance to put them in their baby books!!

Applesauce, bananas, rice, and toast(if they are eating it), are good for upset tummies!

    Accept that there are days when no housework gets done, it's all about the babies. {cherish it because they grow up fast!}

Anxiety is a normal part of motherhood, it is doubled with twins, it is nothing to be ashamed of.

Aspiring to fulfill others standards will only lead to frustration.

Always be yourself and remember to have fun with your babies, it will make everything else easier.

Antibacterial wipes and antibacterial hand sanitizers are great in the car and in the diaper bag.

A thin layer of A&D ointment with every diaper change can really prevent a rash!

(I decided to go with practical tips for the first year, hope that's ok?!)

A mom who tells you her breastfed baby has been sleeping through the night since they got home from the hospital is fibbing.

Accept help from others, and don't be afraid to ask for help.

Always take time for yourself each day doing something that rejuvenates you, you'll be a better mom for it.
