Karina drools ALL THE TIME! I swear she is part Basset Hound or something. She's not even getting teeth right now. When will this end? I"m a little concerned she'll still be drooling when it's time to start school.. I was out of clean bibs yesterday and her shirt was soaked! Here's a picture:

Thankfully, Annelise never drools. Not even when she's getting teeth.

Wow, that's a Whole lotta DROOL!  silly little lady ;)

How long has she been drooling like this? I'm not really sure when most stop the excessive drooling [especially since mine are younger than yours]. I only know from my own experience.

We had ours wear a bib 24/7 since they began drooling at around 2 months. They'd go through about two bibs each per day. A little less than a month ago I noticed they weren't drooling on a normal basis anymore - don't really know when that all stopped. So now I just keep a bib attached to their high chair for feedings. Though I do notice more drool during the teething phases. Maybe she's preparing for Major teeth growing!! ^_^

My boys are both drool monsters as well. DH said last night that he thinks they drool more than any other babies, especially Clay. They are however getting more teeth (I think).

That is a lot of drool for such a little lady! What a cutie!!! My girls aren't big droolers so I don't know when it will stop for you.

Both of mine are drool monsters, during the first year, they wore a bib all the time because they would soak shirts through. I would say for us it went down between 15-16 months where now they don't need to wear a bib daily and I only notice more drool when they teethe. Hope it does go down for you soon!

Holy cow! Look at that drool!! She is so cute.

I didn't have droolers, but I have friends whose son lived in a bib until he was well over 2 because he drooled like crazy. Once every last tooth came in, he was better. I am sure she will improve with time.

    She is so cute!!

Have you noticed anything else in addition to the drool? For instance, does she keep her mouth open a lot? Does she have trouble chewing? Is she talking, or at least babbling a good variety of consonant sounds? Are her cheeks very soft and poofy, giving her an adorable chubby-cheeked look?

I ask because Kevan was/is my drooler, but there's a reason -- he has a whole host of oral motor issues. His drooling has improved dramatically since he started weekly oral motor therapy at 18 months. Actually what's weird is he stopped drooling altogether a few months ago, and then started up again more recently. Just in the last two weeks, it's decreased again and is almost gone (knock on wood). And, he's now aware enough that if we say, "Kevan, watch the drool, dude," -- he will slurp it up, LOL, close his lips and wipe his mouth with the back of his hand.

Anyhow, if you notice anything in addition to the drool, I might get it checked out. But, some babies are just slobbery!

Wow, how long did it take her to get that droolified!? She´s cute though ;)

My DD has been drooling non-stop for months and months. We get through a load of bibs each day as a result. DS recently started drooling so the bib washing has gone up! I cant wait for it to stop either but I feel it´s going to be a while yet!

I'd like to know when it stops also. My ds is 22 months old and drools like crazy. And he's got all his teeth. Dd is getting 4 teeth right now and doesn't drool at all.

Wow. That's alot of drool! We luckily don't have droolers. Don't quote me on this, but I thought I read somewhere that excessive drooling when they weren't teething could be caused by low muscle tone and that there were excercises you could work with them on to help firm up some muscles which would stop the drool. It also said most kids would naturally grow out of it and that it wasn't something to be concerned about.

Thanks for the replies. I asked the doctor about it yesterday at their 18-month WBV. He said he thinks she is teething and that she'll be getting her canine teeth soon. At least there is a reason. Hope we don't all drown in the meantime. :)

That's A LOT of drool! She is a cute drool monster though!

I don't have droolers. Never had one actually. Mine wear bibs when they eat and that's really the only time they ever need them. Thankfully!
