the whole time you are pregnant - you dream of these sweet little people - and imagine hair color, curls or no. - facial features and 10 fingers and 10 toes. but what about the little things that you could never have even thought about
    like...

the way my Addison likes to stick her sweet little tongue out or the way Miss Ava Grace cuts those big blue eyes at me when she is being silly - you know the cutest little habits ever!

do your babies do somethhing that is just them - something that just makes their personality just who they are - something that you never thought about before but now you couldn't live without?

    Nice post Heather!

Emma wrinkles up her nose and makes this cute pig noise!

Jacob likes to climb all over me and bury his head into me, all while making this cute, "mama, I love you" noise. At least that is what it sounds like to me!

Seamus wil try to crawl into my lap but he cant really climb into me so he twists his body into me until I pick him up!

Nicholas- He is my shy sensitive guy. When someone comes over or we go somewhere and he gets nervous, he opens his mouth and wants to cry but I really soft 'wah' sound comes out. Or if he is sitting on the floor and someone comes over, he puts his head straight down onto the floor in between his legs like a yoga position as if they cant see him!

Oh one more...I LOVE when they clap. They do it ALL day long! Their hands are chubby and their clap is so stiff. It is like they are concentrating so hard!

    I LOVE them!

Well, let me think, my favorite things.........Jacob when you call his name crawls to you like a speed demon laughing the whole time. He like to lay on your chest watching Baby Einstein or while reading a book, when he touches my cheek, his toothy smile.

Noah his independent drive (sometimes makes me crazy), how he touches his forehead to mine, gives me "mama kisses", holds onto the security fence or exersaucer and wiggles his tushy as he dances.

Both...when they crawl all over you when we are on the floor playing like your a human jungle gym for them....both are starting to make the "ma ma ma" sounds....

Cameron is a big flirt. He will tilt his head down, look up and bat his eyes and smile. :air_kiss: He only does it to girls too. It is the cutest thing ever!

Evan is my little caretaker and has the patience of a saint. He hardly ever cries. He will occupy himself with a toy or stare at something while his brother screams at the top of his lungs. He is also my little roly-poly. He has finally learned how to roll over both directions so when I lay him on the floor he immediately starts rolling around the room.

The thing I love the most is the way they "talk" to each other. They will stare at each other a few seconds and then one will make baby-talk and then the other one laughs or baby-talks back. I've never seen two babies as young as they are interact so it's amazing to see!!

They have also developed a habit of holding hands. When I put them next to each other on the floor to change their diapers they almost always hold hands. It's like diaper changing emotional support. :D I don't know if it's intentional or just a recurring coincidence, but I like to think it's intentional.

Abigail has learned how to turn the TV on and off - and when she turns it off she turns around and looks at you and says oohhh (like half of uh oh) and you tell her to turn it back on and she smiles at you and turns it back on and then claps!

she also makes this noise - the only way to describe it is she sounds like a baby Chewbacca!

When Ian crawls he hums and it sounds like his motor is really in high gear! He also loves to cuddle at bed time and will snuggle right into my shoulder to fall asleep!

Aww mine are just starting to really get personality, but I love love love Marlee when she tilts her head to the side and gives me a big smile and her blue eyes scrunch up under her long lashes. And she looks up at me and coos and coos like she is just telling me something so important. I also love when Huxley burps, silly I know, but it is soooo LOUD and FORCEFUL and he gets this surprised look on his face like"did I do that?" and we joke that he is expelling the burp demons. He burped so hard and unexpectedly once when my mom was holding him that it made us all jump and then laugh so hard I had tears streaming down my face.

I love the way Geneva sticks out her little bottom lip and makes a pouty face. She does it all the time, even if she's not upset. It is so cute.
And, Gretchyn just lights up anytime anyone talks to her and gets so excited and acts as though she is trying to clap her hands.

Both of them just smile and laugh anytime you kiss their necks. I could spend all day kissing on them just to see them smile and hear them laugh.

This is such a great post!

    Stacy,
My girls do the same thing anytime they are next to each other. I think it's intentional, too. As much as they ALWAYS do it, it HAS to be intention.

Lydia just learned how to do a fish face.... she sucks in her cheeks and puckers up like a little fish.. it's so cute!!!! Of course she stops as soon as we grab the camera!

Lily opens her mouth as big as she can and practically licks us when she gives kisses...

They both will lay on their tummies, turn onto their sides w/one leg crossed over each other will sitting on their elbows... It totally looks like they're posing for a centerfold or something.. it's hilarious!!

Here's a picture of Lydia posing while doing her fish face! :)

When my munchkin was a newborn, she sneezed a lot -- and she would always sneeze three times in a row, and then do a big sigh, that sounded exactly like an adult sighing, "Huuuuunnnnhhhhhhh." It was the funniest thing ever.

When I nursed her, she would scrunch up her nose and snort like a little piggy until she found my nipple and got latched on. It cracked me up every time.

Around 9 to 12 months, she absolutely refused to wear any socks and shoes. Ever. This kid was a master at removing even Robeez, and any sock that I tried. So, we'd go to the mall in 30-degree weather, and she'd be bundled up and barefoot. People certainly gave me looks! But, seriously, there was nothing I could do. (She wouldn't sit under a blanket in the stroller, either.) We laughed about it, but our families were so horrified....

I love the way Luke wants to snuggle in my lap all the time. I also LOVE his adorable little baby giggles which come so easily. Everyone in the room will be laughing with him, they are sooo cute!

Lila isn't as much of a cuddler, she's too busy. But she smiles ALL the time and those two little dimples are so darn cute (I think she knows it, too) she uses that smile to get anything she wants. I also love that you can say "kiss, kiss" and she will give you a big wet kiss on the cheek. :air_kiss:

And I love that no matter how I lay them in the crib I will often find them side by side with an arm thrown over the other one.... :D

Dave loved to be barefoot all the time too. Now he won't wear socks with his shoes unless I remind him. (stinky stinky!)

James makes this screeching noise by sucking in air. It's hard to explain but he sounds like a baby pterodactyl (that's what we call him!). He also growls which I find so funny. He'll grab onto the baby gate, stand up then let go with one hand then bounce up and down which will knock him slightly off balance so he has to grab onto the gate with both hands again. But he has this huge grin the whole time and you can tell he feels quite brave and daring!

Sean has just learned to pull himself up onto furniture, but every time he does it he starts screaming "YAY YAY YAY!!!!!" at the top of his lungs because he's sooooo proud of himself! (Mommy's awful proud of him too!) He also crinkles up his nose and laughs this really nasal laugh that is hilarious. When I put him in his highchair to eat he swipes at the pile of food, grabs a handful and shoves it in his mouth in less than a second. He's got such incredibly fast reflexes, it's amazing. After he gets the handful of food shoved in his mouth he looks at me, opens his mouth and lets all the food fall out while laughing his little crinkled nose nasal laugh. Boys. :)

They have also discovered the joy of tackling hugging each other. The Hug-ee will be sitting and the Hugger crawl up to him and sit next to him then suddenly open his arms wide and fall onto the Hug-ee, and start hugging him in a death grip while they both fall over. Sean is almost always the Hug-ee. Usually the Hug-ee is crying (hardwood floors) so I have to pick them both up as a unit since they are both hugging each other really tightly by this point. It's cute to watch but I hate the bruises.

I love when Anna rolls onto her side and waves like she is a model. She loves to pose. I love that she will scream when she squels but whispers when she talks "dadadada" and "mamamama" even a little whispered "hi" :)

I love when Luke looks to find me when he is proud of himself. He gives me big open mouthed kisses that are just precious and at the end of the day I will open the door and he will stand at the screen saying "dadadadada" until Daddy comes home :)

I love when Arwen is crawling and she looks at me and I say, "I'm going to get you" and she starts crawling as fast as she can while she is laughing hysterically (of course, I give her a couple of seconds to "out crawl" me and then when I finally catch her she just curls up into a ball with her face in the rug and cracks up while I kiss her and tickle her.

The thing about Lorien that fills my heart with all the happiness in the world is when I pick her up and she wraps her sweet little arms around me and hugs me as tight as she can. She is so affectionate and it will never get tired!

Awesome post idea!!! There are just so many things that I could list....they're just getting such personalites...isnt life great having two!!!

Landon does what we call his "snoot face" and will scrunch his nose up and squint his eyes and snort. he does this while crawling towards us and siting in the stroller or if someone talks to him. He has also started to play tug o war with the rag when i wipe him off in the high chair. he'll pull on it and go "ugh ugh" and then growl at me...

Brenden will stand up to their activity tent and push the button that plays music and then look at whoever is in the room. Wait for them to say "dance" and he'll start bopping up and down with his nose in the air. If we walk into an area with alot of people and he notices that they're attention is on him he'll say "heeeey" and kinda wave his fingers.

Both of them have started giving kisses - big sloppy and wet kisses and they hve to be on the mouth. They wont settle for less. They also think that they ahve to sit in their highchairs and hold hands....its' so cute. My parents taught them to hold their shoes by the laces and spin the shoe. So now they hold their shoes up and thanks to my father, spin them and say "weeeeeee" only when they say it is sounds like "eeeeeeeeeeeee". One more thing that i just think is the greatest is that both boys will take a toy or any object and hold it next to or behind their head .... (that means their hiding) and they wont look at you but they'll sit with the biggest smile on their faces while you sit there and say "where's _____insert name here________" and then they'll either throw the toy behind them or drop it infront of them and laugh hysterically. I guess its' true, if they cant see you, then you cant see them.

Jack is just too cute when he scrunches up his face and laughs. He also babbles like crazy - it almost sounds like a foreign language- he uses hand gestures too!!!

Paul is the big flirt and always smiling! He actually also makes that sound like he is trilling his r's in Spanish (does that make sense?) maybe a really exaggerated purring sound... He has been doing it for about 3 months now and we always know if it is him who is awake in their room when he does it!

It is too amazing just watching what they do together- the interaction is something I never even thought of and it is a fabulous thing to watch!

yes, they do the cutest things.

Garrett now giggles when we pick him up out of his crib when he wakes up from his nap.

Grant gets this "cranky" look on his face when he wakes up. His cute little eyes squint for a good 5 minutes and I am sure he is thinking "MAN, who turned on the lights".

Garrett is the littler one, but you wouldn't know it. He steals every toy from Grant. now that they are scooting around, he is stealing everything.

Grant always hits his brother a few times on the head when Garrett steals his toy. It is HILARIOUS!!!

Ellie is just a wild child! Anytime you stand her up or get her into a big girl postion she gets this HUGE smile! Plus, she gives open mouth kisses - none of my other kids did that!

Allison is the boss - or tries to be. When you have to put her down to do something she starts yelling at you. She will be in the middle of yelling at you when she sees you turn around start coming near her. She automatically thinks you are coming to get her and she gets this SUPER excited squeel with arms and legs flayling (sp?) - along with this huge grin. I love when Allison is trying to look mad and upset but she can't hide the smile!

    Great thread!

Gage will put his bottom lip out like he's upset (he's not) just cuz, he'll nuzzle his face into my neck, he balls his fists & grunts like he's just soooo frustrated & when he gets excited he bounces up & down like crazy no matter where he's at- even while you're holding him!

Keira gets her "shy" look where she kindof turns her head to the side & down & will look up at you through her eyelashes, she'll squeal & blink like she surprised herself & she's been "talking" almost nonstop (except when she's asleep or eating) for the last 3 months straight! She also does this thing when I'm changing her which is funny ( & sometimes annoying!) where she will wrap her legs around my arm like a pole!

They both are extremely ticklish & giggle like crazy & our new game is "gimme five" & they slap my hand- it's really cute except Gage is so strong, he smacked my hand right down on the highchair cupholder & now I've got an ugly bruise on the back of my hand!

What a great post! I've loved reading about all the neat things everyone's cuties are doing!

My "favorite" things seem to change every day, but I love how "talkative" Jonathan is. He is so into screeching and jabbering now! We just "talk" all the time! James is very much into those embarrassed smiles and giggles. I'll go into their room to calm him down at night for the umpteenth time and he'll do it and it gets me every time!

They've also just started noticing each other. Yay! They'll look at each other and smile. Finally!
