did you sing it for each child or did you just do it once

I sing it every month to them and I sing it to each baby. They love the attention.

I've so been stressing about this. Even if you sing it to each one of them, someone goes second! I guess you just do it based on which baby was born first :(

When my brother and I were growing up, the family always only sang it once--but we each got our own cake.

Two songs...two cakes...done in birth order! That is our gang plan.

I think when we get to birthdays since they were born 33 min apart. We would have two small cakes (we are not rich) and have their own song. so they can blow their own candle out and the moment can be all about that one. Then 33 min later, the second born gets her turn :)

I was going to do two cakes, but instead I just got a big sheet cake at Sams and had it decorated on each side for each baby. I will see if I can find a pic. Oh and we sung the song twice in birth order.

We only sang it once. But, they get individual birthday hugs, kisses, and wishes!

Thanks ladies for the compliments. I really wanted the green to be green not forest green and I wanted a green stripe down the middle and not white...can you tell I am type A? But I just let it go!

    The cake is adorable!

I had every intention of singing twice, in order of birth, but in the haste of getting their bibs on, hats on, cupcakes with candles, I forgot! Once we go to the part where you say the name I think I stopped everyone and said "oh shoot, we were supposed to do this twice" but just said both names and kept going. This year they will definitely realize we're singing to them, so we're going to sing to each of them.

the place i rented gives us the cake. it's pretty big too. i am going to ask them if they can decarate each side like pp's cake that's a great idea. i also like the idea of singing it twice. but DH's birthday is the same day so maybe we will sing it 3 times  what a birthday present he got last year huh. :D

Dh and I sang it to them individually at 8:02am and 8:03am which is what time they were born. At their party everyone sang it once.

If I did that, I would be waking them up at 1:19 and 1:52 in the morning. Don't want grumpy 1 year olds on my hands :D

that is a very sweet idea though
