    Hello Everyone,

I was actually asked a GOOD question yesterday at the store. The checkout lady asked me how many weeks I was, then asked "How many are you having?"

I thought this was awesome, since it never seems to cross most people's minds that you could be having more than one. Even when you tell them, it seems like a great shock. This woman was very sensitive and kind, and I really appreciated getting asked an insightful and original question.

that question could have backfired on her though!! I recently saw a pg lady whom I would have bet money was carrying twins....nope...I was glad I didn't say anything!!!

Wow, that is nice, usually my guard goes up quickly waiting for a rude comment. I would call the store manager to compliment how nice she was!!

I wonder if this will be a more common question as the multiples keep rising! Neat.

That happened to me once. A woman asked my due date, and I told her, and she smiled and said, "Twins?"

That was a considerate question. I had a neat experience today. I had an appointment for my son and the doctor asked if he had any siblings. He said one (his 14 year old sister), and I added and two on the way. She asked me how far along I was, and I told her about 4 months. She looked at me for a little bit and said, you don't even look pregnant. This is a huge compliment, because I have been feeling so pregnant lately. As you all know when you start to look pregnant and nothing fits anymore, it is exciting but depressing in a way. So, even though the doctor didn't know what I looked like before, it made me feel good to know that I am not as enormous as I sometimes feel.

Me, on the contrary it would upset me when people would tell me I don't look like I'm having twins. Not the case anymore, I'm so big now!

That was great! I also had a nice compliment at my daughter's doctor appointment yesterday. He was so congratualatory of the fact that I was having twins. It was nice not to be asked if I was done after this. He just kept saying how great it was and he was excited for our family. Made me feel very proud and happy!

The night before my scheduled c-section at 38 weeks, my DH, parents and I went out to eat. As we were leaving the restaurant this man looked at me with wide eyes and said "Oh my goodness when are you due" when I said tomorrow he said "and how many are you having". I said two and he said "I knew it must have been at least two maybe more." I was huge!

It's great to hear that there are others who are receiving good comments - glad I could start a positive thread! :)

It's true that the comment could have backfired, like Susanna+3 said, but I think a person's attitude and intention really make the difference.

I bet you wouldn't have been happy if it was a singleton!
