Just curious as to how many of you out there had correct (or incorrect) gut feelings about the sex of your babies? My DH is positive that they are boys, but I just know they are girls (they're definitely identical).

    We find out on Thursday!!!

Well with my oldest DD I thought she was a girl due to a very fast h/b all the time (I know old wives tale, but it worked in this case). For the twins, I also thought they were both girls. We all wanted b/g, so I was sure that wasn't going to happen.

I was sure all three of mine were going to be boys, so I'm perfect. Zero for three! ;)

I had a dream I was having a boy...one boy. We found out at 20 weeks that it was 2 boys!

With my first, I wanted a boy, so I was certain it was a boy... I was wrong!

So this time, I said "I'm pretty sure I'm having a boy" and everyone laughed... but I was having these "surges" of agression and physical responses to things (which is uncharacteristic for me). Sure enough, it was twin boys and even the doc laughed because he said that the hormone surges were pretty obvious in my behavior!

I would base it more on how you feel and less on what you want... then you're likely to be right! :)

If nothing else, it's fun to guess either way!

I would have dreams about a boy than a few nights later a girl so I thought B/G. My mom swore it was 2 boys. turns out identical boys so I was way wrong, but my mom was right on and never lets me forget it :p For some reason I knew for sure they weren't both girls that was the only thing I would have put money on.

Both DH and I were sooo sure that we were going to have B/G. We just KNEW that we were having one of each. HA!

Funny thing was, before we found out we were pregnant, everywhere I looked, I saw license plates that either began or ended with the letters "PRG"....then we found out that we were prego!!

THEN, everywhere I looked, I saw license plates that either began or ended with the letters "GRL"---but still, I was so certain we were having one of each! That went on for about a month. Then we found out that we are having two girls!!!

    Two girls!! Surprise!

I REALLY wanted b/g, knowing that these would (probably) be our only children. But my gut feeling was 2 boys. I had a dream where just one of them was delivered (the other was still hanging out inside) and it was a boy. I dreamed about a boy all the time, but just one ... so I figured at least 1 must be a boy ... and I was right! But it turned out I got my little girl as well!

I "knew" they were girls and I was right!

I had no clue about fraternal or identical and I still don't know! :)

I had no idea with my last and still didn't know up until the end when they said "it's a girl!". I thought this time for sure it would be a boy and a girl but I was wrong.

With my daughter I was wrong...even after they told me she was a girl at the u/s, I didn't believe it until I saw her with my own eyes because I was SO sure she was a boy. Nope - she is all girl.

With the boys - I knew 1 of them was a boy but I wasn't sure about the other. My daughter was right though and knew there were 2 boys from the beginning.

I always feel like I am having boys. WIth the twins I was half right! But I will never know with this last set. I feel in my heart it was another boy.

Everyone is different- I think 'hunches' being right are just a fluke, mine were right...

At first, we really, really wanted girls, so I think that is why I had dreams/hunches about them being boys (now we are thrilled we are having boys, so excited!)

I had a hunch I was having boys because I had virtually no morning sickness, got sick once. Old wives tale, I know, but I thought it odd...

    I also had 3 dreams...

1st dream, my husband was upset they came out boys and told me to put them back

2nd dream, the doctor told me he THOUGHT they were boys, but they weren't sure because they also had feathers down there too.... as I was trying to breastfeed them...

3rd dream, looking at old ultrasounds and they said 'Brother A' and 'Brother B' instead of 'Baby A' and 'Baby B'

I can guarentee, though, that either yours or your husband's hunches will be right :D

Our gut was wrong. We didn't find out the sex at our ultrasounds, we wanted to be surprised. We both thought that baby B was going to be a boy since he was so crazy, kicking and moving all around. Based on the heartrates we also thought Baby B was a boy. So when Natalie popped out first a girl my dh thought the 2nd baby would definatey be a boy. We were wrong and we have 2 beautiful girls Natalie and Brooke. Funny story though is that to discern cups/bowls, etc. as they've grown up Natalie always gets the "girl" colors and Brooke gets the "boy" colors - aren't we terrible!!!

With my first I thought it was a boy, I was right!

This time my husband was really have the baby urge for a girl so we decided to get pregnant again. My son kept saying he wanted a brother not a sister.

I kept having dreams that it was a girl but wondering what if it was a boy? I had no def. idea about what the gender was.

At 17 weeks we found out we were having one of each! So my husband and son are both happy they got what they wanted.

My son always ask, which side is brother on, so he can put stickers on my belly or talk to him. He wants nothing to do with the sister, HAHA he says she will take his and brothers toys!

I was convinced that I was having ONE GIRL. But that 22 week ultrasound showed two penises.

I was totally wrong! I knew for sure that I was having two girls and even started buying clothes. Nope, my two boys are due 10/20! I knew from day one with my son that he was a boy, but i guess my mommy radar was off for the twins!

Mine was. I thought I was having b/g and didn't actually confirm it until they were born. We wanted to be surprised, but I was right. GL.

I was pretty sure my first was a girl (correct) and with the twins I "knew" for sure one was a girl (I could even point which one, also correct). I just felt I wasn't going to have 2 boys.

With all 3 of my boys I just knew they were boys - it never crossed my mind that they could be girls! but with the twins I also thought they must be boys! I had a dream that they were calico kittens (which are amost always girls) and that was the 1st time I really thought that maybe just maybe we may have at least one girl!! when the big ultrasound came and we found out that Baby A was 85% sure a girl and we could not be sure with baby B I was sure we had one girl and one boy! at the next u/s they told us that they were both girls but I did not really believe it until the day thet were born!! it actually still amazes me that we have 2 beautiful little girls!!

I can't wait to see if my hunch is right. I feel so strongly that they are both boys. I always dream about them being boys. I think at least one has to be a boy, but then again my husbands hunch is two girls, which would also make my DD very happy. She was right about there being twins. I took clomid, so I knew there was a chance, but she didn't. Even so, every time she would see a picture of twins, she'd say, That's the kind of babies we're having.

DH and I are both hoping for b/g so it can be hard to sort out what we are hoping for from what we our gut instinct is. Right now (after 16w u/s) we are pretty sure Baby A is a boy, and I am REALLY hoping B is a girl but we'll see. I think we've both been thinking that B/G and then G/G would be easier--or at least easier for us to picture ourselves parenting--than B/B. (Me because I had one boy and three girls in my family growing up ... so I know what it's like to have one boy around but not two. ;) Him b/c he's the youngest of three boys and he sees the hell his older brothers put his parents through growing up. They were also horrible to him when he was little, although now he's very close to his oldest brother.)
We should find out for sure on 9/5. I wish it were sooner! DH isn't quite as eager as I am ... I think cos he's not the one working on the registry and getting tired of looking at gender-neutral stuff. ;)

Azucena: That's so cool your DD "knew" you were having twins! :)

I wanted b/g because we have a 3 year old son, (and we will probably be done after these babies) so I wanted to have at least one little girl. But I thought I was having TWO girls. . .Well I was WRONG because I got my wish and we are having b/g twins!!

I KNEW with my son, he was a boy. I knew from DAY ONE!

At 10 weeks along in this pregnancy I told my family I was certin there was twins, they all thought I was crazy. My Grandma came over just after we found out we where expecting 2! She said she thought it was boys. I told her I was certin it was little girls. But secrectly hoped I was wrong, hubby wanted boys SOOOO bad!

Ultra sound after ultra sound, they wouldnt sit still long enough to let us see! Finally at 20 weeks, I found out! I WAS RIGHT!!!! :D

TWO beautiful mono/di twin girls! And they weren't bashful on showing it..

I was right with my first two.

With M&M I thought all along 2 girls, I wanted two girls. Dh kept saying two boys. We had a cvs test and were told 2 boys. I remember saying no as soon as they said that. I just couldn't shake the feeling that one was a girl. There HAD to be a girl in there. That was at 13 weeks we found that out. At 18 weeks we had the big u/s and I kept asking them to check. They keep checking and couldn't tell but at the very end we saw 3 lines and I shouted "thats a girl". They were amazed and said they have never seen a cvs test be wrong. We still aren't sure what happened but she is def all girl! So I like to think I was 50% right :)

With the twins I thought either a b/g or b/b. I knew it was not 2 girls and I was right.

I thought it was either B/G or B/B. I was wrong! At the u/s DH was in a little shock. Apparently it had never occured to him that they could both be girls. After the shock wore off he immediately started talking about "girl" sports. I hope they are at least a tiny bit athletic!
