The Babies Are Here...

Hello ladies!! So I did end up getting my C-Section earlier than planned or I would still be pregnant! After a routine NST my blood pressure was slightly elevated (but extremely elevated for me). And my urine was spilling protein in it. So the tech sent me down the hall to L&D where they monitored my urine and blood pressure (which just got higher) for 4 hours before giving me a room to stay the night.
I was told not to eat past midnight because I might have a C-Section in the morning. That morning the Doctor said they were going to schedule it for 1PM since I am term anyways. The fear was I had preeclamsia and the only cure is delivery!!

At 1PM they told me they had a few emergencies and they would take me at 3PM. At 3PM they had more emergencies and I didn't end up going into the OR until 8:30 PM.

Cash Anthony James was born December 28, 2007 @ 9:46PM
He weighed 7 lbs 2 oz and was 20 inches long!!

Presley James was born December 28, 2007 @ 9:47PM
She weighed 7 lbs 1 oz and was 19.5 inches long!!

I was 38 weeks 3 days.

Presley spent the night in the NICU due to some rapid breathing and fluid in her lungs. But Cash went straight to the recovery room with me!!
My baby girl looks exactly like her daddy! And he will live on through her beauty!
They are so beautiful and worth all the pain I have been feeling. The C-Section is healing great and I am pumping breast milk for them (way too frustrating to breast feed).
They both have jaundice but nothing they cant pee and poop out! And yes, my baby girl is darker than my baby boy! Haha. I am white as can be and daddy was cuban/native american/white!

Wow! Two 7 pounders....that is great! You should be so proud of those beautiful babies! You did great and I admire you very much for everything you have gone through and how well you kept a great attitude despite all of it.
