THE BABIES ARE HERE

Our babies are finally here they where born with a planned C-Section at 37 weeks (August 21 2007)
The C/S and everything in the hospital went really well. They spent only 18 hours in the NICU (to check sugars more then anything). Everyone came home together on August 23, (yes that is only 2 days after). I was not very excited about that as my wife needed a little more time in the hospital to heal. This past monday she went in to have the staples removed and they found that the outter layer of 'fatty' tissue wasn't healing correctly. Anyways things are looking better and the babies are doing great.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I hope the incision starts to heal better. I couldn't have imagined leaving after just 2 days post c-section. I was dischared the morning of day 5...my insurance would cover a 4 or 5 day stay adn they agreed to let me stay until morning of day 5 since mine were in the NICU anyway. I'm glad that all is going well for your family!@

 

Congratulations!!! Wow, a 2-day stay must have been rough. I was crying when they kicked me out after 4 days. I am glad to hear everyone is doing well and I hope the incision heals properly.

Congratulations!! I am sorry your wife got sent home like that. I know I was not ready either. I had low blood and also found out later that I did not heal properly either, like your wife. That is no fun. I hope you / she has some help with the babies in the first few weeks since she is not feeling perfect. Hope she feels better soon. :love0028:

I think it's just ridiculous to do this! Especially after having twins. My doc gave me 5 days b/c she knew I had a toddler at home...plus the twins..made it more likely that something would go wrong with the incision...

congrats though! Hope you have lots of help at home!

 

The babies weights where:

Kyle Robert 6lb 5oz 18.25 in Apgar 8/9
Kaitlyn Joy 5lb 9oz 18.25 in Apgar 8/9

Everyone is doing great, my wife's wound is healing amazingly fast. Right now at 16 days old the babies now weight Kyle(6lb 12oz) and Kaitlyn (5lb 14oz). Thank you all for the information and support through this.

 

Wow what great weights and great job for cooking them so long!! @ days is way to soon, I had 3/4 of my incision tear back open so I hope your wife heals well! COngratulations!!
