Over the weekend I was super uncomfortable. I thought maybe I was dehydrated so I laid down and drank as much water as possible. It started to get better. The second day I was feeling ok, but my urine was still a funny color - dark. Then after lunch I got severe pain on my right side, lower back. It lasted 10 min and then I was fine. After dinner my urine looked like it was mixed with blood. I called the OB and they said to come in the AM.

I finally get through to the office at 10:30 and they tell me to come at 11:30. I have to bring all 3 kids. We waited for an hour!

So Ob thinks I have a kidney stone and is sending me for an ultrasound tomorrow. I don't know what to hope for - if it is a kidney stone, I can only expect pain. If it isn't, then what the heck is it?!

Then at the end of the visit she says, "so did I tell you I was moving out of state in June?"

    Im due in August.

    Agh!!

I hope it's not something serious. If you have kidney stones, drink tons of cranberry juice. My Mom got kidney stones while pregnant, and she said it was quite painful.

I also hope you are able to find another doctor soon.

Well that's annoying! My one of my favorite ob docs quit just a few months before I was due with my last baby, but at least at that practice there were a whole bunch of other doctors!

My original OB retired right after we found out it was twins. I was almost 20 weeks. The doctor I found was moving out of the practice she had been in and having her own office. There was a 2 - 3 week period where I didn't have a doctor. Of course I had a problem. I was able to go to the practice that the new doctor was moving out of. I had to go see them twice in that period. Everyhing worked out great and I loved my new doctor.
