I saw these on Target.com - Bed tents
They look like the same thing as crib tents, but they fit on a twin mattress. Might be the solution for those of you with kids that won't stay in bed!

I noticed they were age rated for 3 and up. My only issue with using one is that my girls get scared and I could see them freaking out because they wouldn't be able to see each other or myself. I'm going to keep looking for one that might be more see through.

Thanks for the idea! We haven't moved to toddler/twin beds yet..but DH keeps pushing for me to do it.

Thanks for posting. I'm definitely interested. I think I might try it. Does anyone know if they make one like that that they can see through? My girls have been removing their clothes at naptime, and I'd like to be able to see what they're doing in there.

Those look fun but I noticed that the description says they are double-zippered so it isn't as if they can't let themselves out. Heck, my guys were letting themselves out of their peapods which AREN'T double-zippered but the back of the zipper pull doesn't go down into a pocket like it does on their crib tents. I can imagine them getting into one tented bed together and bouncing into the tent sides/roof like a couple kernels of popcorn in a microwave bag

Still, I think it would be great for slightly more mature kids since they might be enticed to stay in their cozy fort. If someone tries these or already has them, I'd love to hear how they work. We hopefully won't be transitioning anytime soon but I like to try to think ahead.

I had to use a big safety pin or a plastic zip tie on the Peapod zippers to keep them in.
I hadn't thought about the being able to see through factor, I wonder if they make different tents, or if these they can see out of somehow. Anyhoo, the whole idea of being in beds and "loose" scares me, so I was planning ahead too, lol.

I'm afraid of them being "loose" in their room too. As it is, I'm thinking the best way to go about this is put mattresses on the floor and remove everything else in their room. They like to jump around a lot...as it is, Ashley is tumbling around in her crib and doing headstands!

If possible, I'd hold off on transitioning to beds if you can. My girls are "loose" in their rooms and it has been a nightmare. I put their mattresses on the floor and removed everything else in their room. No matter what I said or did, they would spend their nap time playing with each other in the room, and wouldn't nap. I separated them, which worked much better. But for the past week now, they think it is funny to spend their time removing all their clothes. So now, if I don't catch them in time, they pee/poop on the floor. I guess I was looking for something to contain them, but I need to see what they are doing in case I need to clean an accident up.

I just noticed by your ticker, I think our girls might have the same birthday. And I have an Ashley too! :)

Oh my goodness! The popcorn comment had me :rotflmbo: My two boys would totally do that!

My first reaction was also that they couldn't see out. I have no qualms about rigging the zipper to keep them in though! If anyone finds a see through one, please post it! I'll do the same.
