    Hi there,
I've been having some contractions about twice/day for several weeks now. Some days none and other days one or two. But today they've been about 1 every hr or so. Tonight though they've increased to about 2-3/hr. I *think* they are Braxton Hicks. Of course, I really don't know what a Braxton Hicks contrax feels like. They are really low in my abdomen (around the area of my c/s scar). The top of my belly isn't hard and the front doesn't feel hard. It's almost like he's rolling around or something.

I haven't done great with my water today so I'm really trying to PUSH the fluids hoping it will help. I'm just starting to get a little unnerved with them having increased. Pls give me some reassurance or some advice that will help keep me out of L&D.

Yikes! Just take it easy as best you can. Stress and extra activity can make it worse. Fluids are good, too. Have you called your doc yet?

i was told to call my dr if i have 4-6 in an hour and then after laying down for an hour and drinking tons of water i still get 4-6 in the next hour, to call. 1 in a hour doesn't seem like it qualifies. but still great idea to drink lots of water and take it easy i think. :)

Drink, drink, drink and rest (and don't forget to empty that bladder). And if it continues...call the doc just in case. Better to be safe. Those are definitely BH contractions!

Thanks girls! The water seems to be helping already. That and I changed positions (weird, huh?). He's kicking the heck outta me right now.

Thanks for confirming my suspicion that these are actually BH, Kate. I think it was the sudden increase from less than 1/hr to up to 3/hr that was freaking me out. I feel much calmer now. LOL!

Of course, I am no doctor, by any means...BUT...that is exactly how they felt to me when I started having them around 24 weeks. I am glad that things have calmed down. Hang in there and give us an update in another day or so, so we don't worry!!!

The BH contrax start earlier with your second pg too. That is what I was told. Of course I am opposite you, single first and twsin second BUT it would still make sense that with your 2nd they start earlier.

Drink, pee and rest. They sound like BH to me too. I hope you are feeling better!
