So Lauren has eight teeth so far and Emma only has TWO TEETH!! They will be 14 months old on Thursday. Seriously, when is this child going to get more teeth. Not that I'm looking forward to it because she was miserable for a long time before the first two.

Anyone else that had late bloomers for teeth?

Yes, Olivia and Avery were late to get their teeth. Olivia didn't even get her first one until she was 9 months old. I think Avery was 8 months. By the time they were supposed to have 20, they did. Olivia's just came in really close together instead of more spaced out.

Ours have a major difference in teeth! One has 13 teeth and the other only has 5! The one with 5 only had 2 teeth until about 14 months as well. With only 5 teeth at 16 months, I was getting concerned. But at their first dentist appointment, the dentist said it was actually quite common and would have a "tooth explosion" in the next 3 months.

Joey and Ellie didn't get their first teeth until they were 12 months. Ellie is 20 months now and has 10 teeth: 4 on top, 3 on the bottom, and 3 molars. I did daily "tooth checks" and finally felt something. It was so exciting!

    Be patient....the teeth will come!!

You're alone. Just kidding! Jackie got her teeth early, while Beth was later and had 2 forever, then got 6 in a week. That must have hurt!

At 12 months Emilie had 2 teeth. Then she got about 4 of 5 in within the next few months. Now at almost 21 months she has 12 teeth and working on a few more.

Both of my girls are late teethers too. At 14 months (9/6/06), Katherine has two bottom teeth, and Claire has one bottom tooth and one top tooth.

Zachary has 7, Joseph only has 4...all of the teeth they have currently popped out within 1 week in early June...

Not in a real hurry though cause they have discovered biting each other.

Hannah cut her first tooth at 13 months. BUT, both she and Ben got their two-year molars at the same time. So it all evens out in the end!

So, just shy of 18 months...Gabe has a mouth full of teeth. Nate has only 6 (2 on top and 4 on the bottom). I wouldn't worry...they can eat a lot of stuff, even without teeth.

Luke has stayed quite a bit behind Lila on getting teeth as well. She had teeth months before him, I was beginning to think he was going to go to preschool with no teeth! :p They are pretty close to yours in age & Lila has 7 and Luke, I think, just got his 6th, so I guess he's catching up now (he certainly has no problem biting me with those 6 teeth!). But neither of them have very many teeth for their age.

Iris has got two bottom teeth and 4 top. Nefeli has one on the bottom and one right on top. She's ready to eat corn on the cob :D
I'm thinking it's ok, gives us a couple nights of peaceful sleep before more teething.

Just offering some support. I know nothing about this, both girls have a mouthful. I am sure everything will turn out fine and before you know she will have a ton more teeth.

Alex had a mouthful at 11 months and Sarah had NONE! She got her first tooth at 11.5 months old. I thought they would never come in! Sarah has been very late on every tooth that came into her mouth. She still only has 2 of 4 molars and is almost 3 years old.

They were both late bloomers too while all of their play group has 2 or more tooth. Justin had his firth tooth at 9 mos. But he had all of his tooth came at once soon after that and now has total of 8 tooth (4 top and 3 bottom).

Rianna only had 2 tooth at 10.5 months old. Finally, this past weekend she is about to get all 4 tooth coming in at once from the top. She has been very FUSSY and never seen that side of her. I am glad she is getting them now. She is catching up with her brother, Justin.

They are both 13 months old this week.

THat's totally normal. My girls didn't get their first two teeth until they were 11-12 months. Now they have about 18 or so. They'll catch up. If it's really bothering you, ask your pedi at the next appt.

Naomi and Luke were late for teeth. I can't remember exactly when they got their first teeth but I know (because I just checked some photos ;)) that at 16 months Naomi had just 3 teeth and Luke only had 2! They did fine for eating and everything.

Don't worry yours are sure to catch up soon (and you're still ahead of us)!

    YES!!
My b/g twins are now 17 months old.
DS got his first two teeth at 6 months, and now has 11 teeth.
DD, on the other hand, got her first tooth at 12 months, the second at 13 months, (both bottom/front)
I was getting concerned and took her to a pediatric dentist who assured me she was fine and the rest would come in, that it is not that unusual for late teeth.
Her two top front teeth have just started coming in a couple of weeks ago. So still just barely four teeth. But she's got very strong gums and can out-eat her brother any day. :p

My 3 year old didn't get his first tooth until he was 14 months and my 2 year old didn't get her first until she was 13 months. My mother in law told us that my husband didn't get his first tooth until he was 14 months too.
