okay, i feel a little silly asking this, but when your LOs were cutting their first teeth, did you know right away? was it easy to tell? what were your "clues"? or did you have no idea & then suddenly, they had teeth?

    TIA!

I swore up and down that my girls were teething FOREVER, and a tooth never showed up until they were 11 months old. I did notice right before a tooth makes it appearance sometimes they get several of these different symptoms:they get incredibly drooly, they chew on Everything, sometimes a slight fever, diarrhea, runny nose, and of course fussy!

Well, they would drool, be fussier than usual and I would feel their gums. Many times I could feel a tooth getting close to the surface/breaking through.

We would have very fussy babies or we would have very pleaseant babies who were suddenly sleeping terribly at night and I couldnt figure out what was wrong with them. Then wahl- la teeth!

Emma got her first tooth at 5 months, and I had no idea she was teething!

That sounds like the very boat Im in. DSĀ“ teeth cant decide what to do. The bottom 2 start to come through then go back down. DD is just fussy and not sleeping well. I give her baby paracetamol (motrin) and rub gel on her gums. It seems to help. She is drooling a river, more than DS, and both are chewing everything and anything in sight! I find distraction during the day helps, plus lots of TLC! GL!

DS seemed like he was teething for two months now..maybe three! He has phases of lots of drool and hand chewing, but so far, no teeth. DD drooled a little, but her only sign was playing with her gums with her two fingers. She's always been a thumb sucker, but she switched to chewing two fingers and really rubbing them on her gums. I looked, and sure enough, two little teeth were starting to come through. She's had them in for two weeks now and just plays with them all the time with her tongue and fingers. DS, my teething little maniac, still has none!

DD has 2 teeth & both times I could feel a hard bump on her gums before the tooth popped through. DS has been drooling & gnawing on everything in sight, but so far no teeth for him.
