    Congrats on having teethers!

I mostly just give them things to chew on [cloths, soft plastic teether toys, etc..]. When they are REALLY cranky and nothing will make them feel better [not even lovin's from mommy] I give them baby motrin. About 20 mins later they start to feel better.

Also.. baby oragel [sp?] didn't do anything for them..

The only thing that really helped mine was Motrin.

My DS is teething also, his second tooth is coming out and my pedi told me that Infant Tylenol and cloth kept in freezer for some time helped his kids when they were teething.

I fill up the actual binkies with water and freeze them. Doesnt last too long because it melts soo fast but it's relief for the time being! Also.. take a washcloth and put the ends of it under water and freeze that too.. great idea!

My munchkins are currently cuting their first teeth. We have found ice cubes in a cloth with a rubber band makes no mess and is endless ajoyment, also we had some otter pops in the freezer, juice pops in a plastic sleeve, the girls demolished them. In the high chair of course in case they actually pop one open. A

those have been our best bets so far. Good luck everyone. Maybe they will sleep tonight :) Can only cross my fingers

My boys cut their teeth at around 7 months. What I found that worked the best for me (besides Motrin) is teething tablets. They are all natural and you can find them at wal-mart in with the bottles and binkies. They helped alot.

Highlands Teething Tablets worked well. They are all natural.

I kept a bottle in my diaper bag too.

We also did frozen washcloths- get it wet and then put in freezer.

I can't do more then echo what has already been said. I highly recommend the teething tablets, we dissolve them in water and use a medicine dispenser to give them and they work wonders. We have also have found relief with both Tylenol and Motrin and cold washclothes and teethers. I would recommend some good Excedrin and/or a strong drink for Mom and Dad :)

    Motrin and teething tablets!

Soon you'll have a shiny white tooth!! (And then another and another and another until you end up like Alice-gator!)

I love the teething tablets. I'm not one to believe in homeopathic medicine, but after so many moms gave them good reviews, I thought I would try them. One of my friends asked, "OK, where did you get the miracle drugs?" It's such a relief because mine are not yet old enough for Motrin and the Tylenol doesn't seem to help all that much. Plus, they aren't really old enough to chew on anything besides their pacifiers (and my nipple too, lol). Having early teethers sucks, but I guess we'll just have it over with earlier. Good luck.

My kids aren't horrible teethers, they get a little cranky but not too bad. We've used baby orajel, and that seemed to help mine. I have never tried the teething tablets. They love anything they can chew on... so we have lots and lots of teethers. When they are in their highchair we can give them biter buscuit or the mesh feeding bags w/ crushed ice.

I had one who had a hard time teething especially the early teeth. I did tylenol every 4 hours and set my clock to it. Sometimes I did tylenol then 4 hours later give motrin (must be given with food/milk) which lasts 6 hours then back to tylenol again. They seemed worse in the evenings. Often it would be one hand then two hands in the mouth to give you the degree of pain. I didn't find the teething gel helpful but I still applied it to be sure...often it is the pain of the teeth moving in the jaw that is the pain and tylenol is the best for that. Don't worry about "medicating too much" when you see them NOT in pain you will realize how much they need it. But each baby is different so follow your instincts.
    cloths didn't work for us......
