As first time parents we're not quite sure if our almost 13 week DD's are teething. They are certainly demonstrating the signs: drooling, chewing on stuffed animals, and chewing rather than sucking on their binkies.

Is 13 weeks to young to start teething?

They seem to be going through a growth spurt too right now since they're feeding every 1.5 to 2 hours.

It's definitely not too young. My twins got teeth at 4 months, but many have gotten them sooner. Sometimes, it takes a bit for the teeth to start coming in. If they seem to be in pain, you can try Tylenol or Hyland's Teething Tablets.

Teething is a process. They may be starting to teethe, but not get teeth for a few more months. They still may be in pain or discomfort. Try Oragel and see if it helps make them more pleasant.

Not too early, I was born w/ my bottom FOUR! I had a full mouth of teeth by the time I was one… my mom said I looked like had someone else dentures in my mouth (but being the youngest of 3… no pix). I had to have my Wisdom teeth removed in 6th grade (my sister had hers removed at 19) MY older DS had a tooth by 3m… these dues didn’t get the bottom 2 until 8m :pardon:

Not too early either, I have heard of people who have had children who got their 1st tooth by 3 months. I would definitely bust out the cold washcloths, teethers, Hylands teething tablets and Tylenol. They might be on the verge of getting a tooth or it might be a couple of mouths out. Good luck!

All my kids teethed early, just no teeth for quite a while though.

Yep, I agree not too early. Try some Tylenol and see if that helps and mine loved the cold washcloth to suck on.

My one daughter had hers at 4 months and at 12 months of age had all her teeth. She is a little thing so it looks cute and funny to see this full set of teeth on her. She didn't have issues as much as her sister did. I always had spare tylenol on hand and the early teeth seemed the most difficult so I was giving it every 4 hours. I could tell how bad it was by the number of hands in her mouth.....
