My girls are about 3 1/2 months. They've both been fussy like they don't feel good. CLaire's gums look a little swollen and you can feel where there is teeth underneath. I know it might be a few months before they get their first teeth but is it common for this to start this soon? This is not fun at all!!

I have heard babies having them at birth so I I am sure it is possible. Call your pedi and ask for the dose of tylenol. There is orajel and those teething tabs too!

It's not common to start so soon, but it does happen!

My boys are 5 1/2 months, and I am just waiting for those first teeth to appear! We've got constant hand-sucking/drool, restlessness, irritability at night, runny noses, and swollen/bumpy gums!

There has been lots of fist sucking and bib sucking going on. Lots of drool too!

Both my boys started at three months....my older DS had his two bottom teeth at 4 months and my younger DS had his bottom teeth at 5 months. My DD has no teeth yet but drools and chews on everything, so yours could definitely be teething. Everyone laughed at me with my first DS when I said I thought he was teething because he was so young, but they stopped laughing when those two little teeth popped up at 4 months!

My oldest DD got her first 2 teeth at 4 months. She started teething at 3 months.

I don't remember when my boys first started, but I do know they both had four teeth by nine months. Both of my sister's children started teething at three months.

Nikola and Annalise got their first teeth around 5 months old, maybe just before.

So it sounds like this could definitely be what it is! Thanks ladies!
