My girls are definitely teething. Today was the first day it really seemed to bother them. I really don't want them to use those plastic teethers, as they are only formula fed & use bottles all day. What are your suggestions for non-plastic teething relief? I tried freezing wet washcloths for them to chew on, but they weren't too into that. I also dipped their pacifiers in water & then put those in the freezer, but they spit those out too. I just want to help them find some relief  Thanks for your help!

During the day DS really likes to chew on cloth, he darn near chewed a hole through more than one bib. We also use the plastic teethers that you put in the freezer, they work for a bit but then his hands get cold and he won't hold on to them anymore. At night though when he was acting really uncomfortable and unable to sleep we gave him motrin, it really helped him to sleep. DD doesn't seem to be too bothered by teething, she chew on all her toys like a madwoman but is not acting any grumpier than usual. I don't know what the correlation is between bottle feeding and the teethers though???

We used Hyland's Teething Tablets and found that they really work! They're homeopathic, and seem to take the sting/itch out of teething!

I agree! It seems my girls came out teething but 7.5mo later and STILL NO TEETH! On the tough days I use the teething tablets and they definitely help. I also do the frozen washcloths which they really seem to enjoy.

Good luck!! Hope you find some relief for them.

I used teething tablets and they worked wonders on my boys. However they were not 4 months. My sisters daughter began teething at 4 months and she used the teething gel. Homeopathic teething gel

I don't recall when we started teething tablets, but I swear by them! Between Motrin & Hylands Teething Tablets, my boys seem to do pretty good!

We've been using teething drops and they seem to work well for DD. DS hasn't had as much pain seemingly. His cut fast while DDs take a bit more time. Mine also like to chew on cloth. A wet wash cloth is their favorite, but not too cold. The freezer stuff actually causes pain. Putting stuff in the refrig for a bit seems to work ok, but when it's cold they don't want to hold it.

We use the baby orajel sometimes when DD won't suck a bottle. We also give motrin sometimes before daycare and sometimes before bed.

HTH! Mine started drooling and chewing at around 5 months. Now at 7 they both have two teeth each.

Oh, the Raz-berries are so cool! I found mine at a Walmart in Tallahassee about a month after I said to my husband, why don't they make teething pacifiers!??

I love them, the kids love them, I just put them on the Binky String right next to their pacifiers.

WOW! Thank you for all of your posts :hug99:

I am SO excited about the Hylands teething tablets & drops, I will hopefully be able to find them today. The raz-berry pacis are too cute!!! My girls have been iffy about pacifiers lately, so I don't know if that would work, but I appreciate the suggestion & will look for them the next time I'm at Target.
