What do you do for teething? does it get better for a while when the first tooth comes in?
i think one of my boys is really suffering, he constantly cries during sleep.

I do tylenol and teething rings. I've never tried motrin with my girls, but heard that works well too. how old are your kiddos? Our pedi said we couldn't use motrin until after 6 months, so check with your pedi first for dosing. Hang in there!

Mine were much older when they got their teeth, so I would check with your pedi before trying any of these:

    motrin
    Teething Tablets

And I also found this little mesh feeder that you can put ice cubes or frozen fruit in if they don't like teething rings

My cousin put wet washcloths in the freezer when her dd was teething.

my older dd didn't get teeth until she was over 1 yo. we used teething tablets, and never had a problem. i think evan is teething now. we're giving him tylenol.

At that age, just Tylenol at night, and Orajel. At 6 months, I did Tylenol during the day, and Motrin at night.

I second the mesh feeders wtih frozen fruit. It keeps them sucking even if cold bc of the taste. Do bananas or peaches. It helped with first teeth for my DD. My DS still no teeth. ALso the orajel helped for instant releif until the tylenol kicked in.

We used teething tablets and the mesh feeder filled with chopped frozen fruits (those deemed safe for under one year) and were told by our pediatrician to only use Tylenol if we suspected they were reallllly in pain. He kinda scared me off of using it, so now I barely use it!

If the boys are having a real rough evening, we give them tylenol or orajel at night, otherwise, teething rings, cold washcloths, and orajel during the day. BTW, mine started MISERABLY teething at about 4 months, and still no teeth!!!!

Ditto on the frozen washcloths - those worked when they were pretty small - and the mesh feeders w/frozen fruit (which I call popsicles!)....i would stick with frozen peaches or mango or other fruit BESIDES bananas, however - bananas are a real pain to clean out of them and i never feel like they get REALLY clean.

I save tylenol for when they're really suffering, but use orajel, or the homeopathic gel that's made by the same folks who make the teething tablets.

And of course lots of teething rings, hard toys, etc.. Right now my girls put anything and everything hard in their mouths - including the stroller tray, edges of the high chair, etc..
